No probs with install/register for Deluxe ver. Love being able to convert images so fast and efficiently>>currently pimping my folders with some new ico files ;)

Liked this one a lot. Along with Moyea Pro Converter (one of the best apps offered here) this one's a winner! thanks GATOD

Some of this has been answered and updated, but received this directly by email as one of the people (#41) indicated that the registration name is given after install. It is/wasn't. According to Kristanix Software you use Giveawayoftheday and the Key # that DOES show in window.

1:

"Hi Ron,

Unfortunately, it was GiveAwayOfTheDay who made that readme.txt so I would too have wished for it to contain some more information. They also put some wrong information about the software, such that it was the Standard Edition and costs $19.95, while it is the Deluxe Edition and costs $49.95.

But I hope you will find the program useful!

Have a nice day!

Sincerely,
Tor Martin Kristiansen

2:

I am sorry for this inconvenience. The message about the e-mail is not meant for GiveAwayOfTheDay users but users from our own website.

To unlock ImageBadger Deluxe, please use the following registration name and key:

Name: Giveawayoftheday

Key: DELETED

Have a nice day!

Sincerely,
Tor Martin Kristiansen
Kristanix Software

Now you have this info directly from Kristanix Software.

One major con in this program is that there is no preview when you are croping an image.Another con is that some filters do basically the same thing as another,it is just called something different.I dont and will never use half of the filters. This program also doesn't have "CURVE",my favorite feature I have came across. With curve you adjust the lightning, and specify which part to either show shadows or lighten up.I use curve for most of my pictures of myself.I have a freeware program that I enjoy using and I prefer it over this one. It's call paint.net,you should go try it!My rating for this program is a 6/10.Great program,I just have another one that I find more convienent. Thanks GAOTD!

#52, #86 and #96 I suffered the same fate. I have a feeling that once you install this app, even when not fully installed, and then remove it, it will come back with that message on subsequent installs. Don't know how to sove the problem!

Hello,
I started to pass this program by but my brother thought it was
really cool. So I came back and went to your website to really see
what all it did and did download it. Kudo's on your informative
website and this program too! Outstanding!
I suggest other's check out your website to read more about it.
http://www.kristanixsoftware.com/imagebadger/
A side note, when I download things from this giveaway site, I do not
select save, instead I choose OPEN and have no problems activating
things, if they have the activate icon, you double click on that first
and then when it says it is activated, then download the program.
This program however, does not have a separate activate button, so when you do open and download, keep your eye open for the popup Username and Registration number. On the help button of the program
is where you can click and register it.
Again, thanks for the very cool and well thoughtout program!

Half of these image formats don't even EXIST in the world today, they may exist in this program but no programs that have been made in the new millennium will support half (or more) of these image files! It's useless! Chances are, if you're going to convert an image file, you can save it as that image file in the program your using, hell, all you really need to do is put the file in paint and save it as the file you want to, most of the programs out there right now support all of Paint's image files. Don't download this file, it's a waste of time and hard drive, and trust me, I have a 200 GB hard drive and not even I want this on it.

err. Gotta say, I still prefer win98se with USP 2.01 or same with SE2ME for the systems I still run that the hardware just doesn't like win2k. Being disabled often means not upgrading for fair stretches!

sorry, soapbox time.

In fact, the #3 machine on my LAN is winME on a k6-2/450, the wife's Athlon XP 2200+ /#2/ is still running '98 gold (because she *likes* it- and it works well for Pogo) and I have a pair of PII-333's on 98, and if you think I'd be nuts enough to put anything past win98se on my 1997 Toshiba 440CDX laptop, you ought to be in a rubber room. 3 gig hdd, pentium (no 2, 3, or celeron) 133 and 64 megs of ram, plus a max 800x600 LCD. Riiight. How about the p-166 desktop with 32 megs? that a good XP candidate?

And Windows 2000 professional is what I'm typing on, in a dual boot configuration with windows 98se, as there are problems I haven't solved with 2k as the OS. And the only reason I have 2k installed is I needed to run Gizmo Project. And got interested in what I could do with it.

XP? sorry, my opinion of M$ and XP keeps me as far away as I can get. For one thing, I change hardware patching up stuff too often to be begging for reactivation all the time.

(lemme see.... change video cards to see if one's bad, then switch back when that's not the problem. that's 2 hardware changes for the price of none, isn't it?)

Anyway, anyone who yarps about people who don't want to fix what ain't broke and stick with the hardware and/or OS that runs best for them are pretty short of memory. And unrealistic. And probably assume everyone who comes here is spot up-to-date.

(which those using vista probably are- but there *was* a time before XP, before win2k, when *lots* of systems weren't *made* for XP/2k/NT.)

So, yeah, if the operations don't *need* to be written for XP, more power (and more sales) to those who do keep a version around (even if it's an older version, and explained that way) for those of us that don't toss out systems and get new ones with preinstalled XP every year. Because we can't or don't want to afford to.

soapbox: off

But that's just my opinion.

#88: As far as the avast thing with burningkit2, do a check with another antivirus before freaking. ClamWin and a couple others say it's a false alarm.

As for this day's software, it's probably going to take time and use to find out if it has a niche that the freeware competition missed. It happens. I have a couple of photo collections to put together and set up to send to a friend in canada, and this might just be a helpful tool. by about the middle of next week, at this rate.

(having 30,000+ photos taken with my pair of digital cameras, it takes that long to figure out where the ones I want *are*.)

*Shameless plug here for what >I
