I Dl & it installed fine on my older XP OS.
Used it on a B&W business logo that had been scanned somewhat dirty and had some smears in the white spaces, but otherwise a good scan of the original artwork. I found IM worked well, altho a bit tedious for large areas. Either wait forever for the entire area to be ‘cleaned’ or do it in smaller sections for faster results. I admit that I’m a bit short on RAM, so it may work faster for others. IM cleaned it up very nicely. Thanks GOTD, for a usable and user friendly product.

Thanks Gerry and Fubar for your help. However, I had already given up and gone to bed, so I didn’t get the benefit of your advice and solutions until today. Sure worked well as a program. Too bad I didn’t try it on my XP Laptop….it might have worked. I just uninstalled it before reading your comments. MAybe they will fix it to overcome Vista Home problems and offer it again. (all other downloads have worked fine for me in the past)

#201, Tom, #237, Habina, quit blaming Microsoft’s inability to write a single line of functioning code on applications. Microsoft was founded by a drop-out who apparently never completed CompSci 101 and it shows in everything they produce. Every single version of Windows preceding Vista (at least, I haven’t seen the problem in Vista yet) has a problem with various icon caches getting corrupted. Delete them and let Windows rebuild them (look it up on the Internet).

My irfanview icons are still there. As far as I can see this program has altered nothing on my PC
