Some of the gaotd apps have been very useful. This one is just awful. for example, I use two screens, for graphics purposes, that are landscaped together (one big screen). The app shows up right in the middle (that is, where the two screens meet) and it is impossible to move. You'd think that a simple move, resize, object for the gui would be standard. Second, there is a ton of apps out there on the web that accomplish the same thing anyway.

I'ld just like to remind people that even careful developers can accidentally release products with viruses. I bought a game player direct from China that had a vbs virus on it which was activated because the machine looked like a flash drive and executed autorun.inf as soon as it was connected via USB[*]. I doubt that the Chinese factory deliberately put it there, yet that's where it came from. (It was a rather amusing virus because it looked for image files with names (*in Chinese*) that implied porn. My guess was it was written by the Chinese state-sponsored hacking team. I just can't imagine regular hackers going out of their way to delete someone's pr0n collection!)

Anyway, all I'm cautioning about is even if a vendor assures you a program is virus free, and indeed is sincere in his belief, check it for yourself. Actually, this is a perfect opportunity for folks to try out ReturnIl if they installed it last week...

It's very nice that the company rep defended the product - I'm also glad that my comment about getting a virus notice the exact moment I started the program wasn't deleted. Like I said, could be a weird coincidence, but I downloaded and installed, stated the program and got a virus alert. I deleted the prog and shredded the installer and, hey, it was free and removed cleanly. But I left AVG and AntiVir running when I went to bed and they both found and deleted a virus.
I'm also glad they edited their own reply because their orignal claim that their program didn't contain any antivirus wasn't actually very reassuring.

Your failure to be able to connect to the GOTD activation website may signal a problem that can keep recurring. It has with me and a few others. There are a number of posts in the forums on this topic. Please meet us there.

tadfw #30 & #58. Are you joking? I had a look at your designs. You make a mockery of the word professional. One would think that a program such as the one offered here would be too good for your extremely limited design skills.
