When I click on the desktop icons created after installing several programs from GOTD i get this error message:

"The item referred to in the shortcut cannot be accessed. You may not have the appropriate permission."

This happens even if i right click and open it as administrator-which I am and I have administrator privileges. Any idess how to fix this?
Thank you.

Downloaded/installed fine on Vista 64-bit. No trouble registering.

I didn't try the Android Converter, only the i-Studio 6.

The interface is pleasantly iTunesy, and clean and straightforward.

I was hoping it would convert Apple's protected m4p music files to mp3, but I couldn't immediately find an option for that. First impression makes me think it's only for downloading videos... If that's not the case, maybe it's not as straightforward as I thought.

I only tested the YouTube downloading option. It's got a simple browser in it that might be improved with an address bar, or at least a better way of searching videos besides YT's search.

I tried downloaded a YouTube video and got an error that the video was no longer available (it's playing, obviously it's available). Tried again on a different video and got the same error.

I didn't test it any further since the first thing I tried didn't work. Only other thing I noticed was that the program is really slow. It took a long time to open and its browser was slow too.

Another iPXXX converter... Costing $42 bucks! Absolutely unusefull to any clever user. If iPhone (and all other unusefull Apple gadgets) is a so terrific smartphone, (to justify its price and, mainly, its fame), it should be able to play a very large variety of (in my opinion ALL) video standards directly, without conversion. And freely. If it does not do this, this means it is a very bad smartphone choice. My smartphone plays any video directly, without need of conversions, and it does this for free. So Thumbs Down to both, this software and all Apple gadgets. Thanks GAOTD but I pass today.
Please GAOTD, no more iPXXX converters!

1) this application does not deal with protected file, from the vendor website: "i-Studio is not able to convert DVD-videos or other videos or audio-CDs that are equipped with an effective copy protection. Annoying, but it was not our idea and we cannot change it"

2) this application cannot transfer files to iPhone, iPad and other apple devices. it only converts, for the transfer one will need iTune or an alternative as well.

3) although many people here complain regarding Apple, this application is NOT related to Apple it is not made by them. (BTW, the only way to make Apple change their propriety policy is by avoiding buying any of their devices).

4) about this software, all it does is a format conversion, there are many free (and better) alternatives. I was curious to see why they would charge $40 for something anyone can get for free so I have tried it. slower than the competition (no acceleration through the graphic board available, not for AMD's ATI nor for nVidia). the quality of the output file is inferior to the free competition. for free and way better alternative, try Freemake http://www.freemake.com/free_video_converter/

I haven't tried either software offering today, but in reply to those who simply say that there are other, free, converters, I have tried to use a number of free converters to make my videos play properly on my Android phone, and they failed. No matter how I adjust sound quality, resolution, etc., the sound and video just will not sync properly when my phone plays them. And I have tried the mainstream video players that are supposed to help with this problem; they don't for me. This seems to be a common problem on low-midrange Android devices. If the Android conveter being offered here today solves this problem (someone please tell me, I really don't have time to test it right now), then it does offer something unique and worthwhile.

Downloaded, installed, and registered with no problems. However, my tablet, the Motorola Xoom, is not listed in the device selection drop-down. And, because this is a GOTD with no support, etc., I won't get any updates if they ever do decide to add the Xoom. So this software is basically useless for me.

Registration worked fine for both products on my side. My opinion after my first look: It's worth to give it a try. And hey, it's free. :)
