I had problems initially with registration, checking the box during install to run the app immediately on clicking "Finish"... it read the key from the earlier GOTD version, then said it couldn't contact the needed server -- shutting down then restarting the app it registered just fine. Now a couple of folks normally comment that cleaning up your tracks so-to-speak, is just for those with something to hide & someone to hide them from. Well that's true enough, BUT, sometimes a small dose of paranoia is a good thing... For one thing, if (heaven forbid) someone managed to plant a bot or otherwise gain access to your system, they can't grab anything sensitive if there's nothing sensitive there to grab. And if you do anything work related on a PC/laptop, that brings up all sorts of issues, like can your employer legally go through everything stored on your drive(s) [I don't pretend to have *any* legal knowledge, but Google & you'll likely find enough info on actual legal cases to at least raise your eyebrows]. In a nutshell, cleaning up after yourself is never a bad thing. Not leaving anything behind when/where possible is even better, though it helps to remember that deleting files &/or caches doesn't prevent or eliminate shadow file copies or un-erased data. Consider that most people have no way of knowing if their PC/laptop was ever compromised, unless or until the person(s) responsible does something to catch your attention.
