SiteUp monitors your web sites and warns you when any become unreachable (e.g. when a server crashes). Because it checks page content it can even detect when the server is OK, but a site or page is unavailable. There is no limit to the number of sites that can be monitored, including secure sites, and the checking frequency can be anywhere between once a minute and once a day. When a site goes down the system tray icon will change to an animated alarm and optionally you are displayed a warning message. When a site becomes available again you can view a log to determine how long the site has been down.
DVD PixPlay allows you to create VCD slide shows from images, videos and music and write them directly to a CD. VCD's can then be played on your television using a DVD Player. VCD's make it easy to share your images with your friends and family, particularly those who do not have a computer. And they are as easy to use as a normal DVD!
Do you have a favorite "Picture of the Day" site, such as the many "Cartoon of the Day" or "Babe of the Day" sites? With POTD you can bring those images to your own desktop automatically. At the schedule you set and from the sites that you specify, POTD will collect the images and display them as your desktop wallpaper. A long list of sites are provided as well as the ability to display them as a screen saver.
Xanorama Screen Saver displays a random panoramic photo (several are included, such as Paris by Night) whenever your computer is idle and slowly scrolls to display the full image. Options include stretching, speed and image changing frequency.
