I cannot praise AVG Free Anti-virus Software too highly. I have used it for about 5 years or more, and it has been flawless. I tell everyone about it. My only complaint is that the Free version does not allow me to choose the time it downloads its DAILY update, and that sometimes slows down what I am doing at that moment. Small price to pay for a SUPERB! software. My experience with other anti-virus programs that I had to pay for, and which had updates EVERY OTHER WEEK!, was frequent problems and crashes, and much of my missing hair was caused by dealing with their customer service. I have NEVER had to deal with Grisoft's people because it works PURRRRFECTLY!!! It truly is an example of how we all want software to work for us, not require us to work on it. Grisoft could teach Microsoft one hell of a lot about how to do user-friendly software right. Three cheers for AVG Anti-virus, and IT'S FREE!!!!!

I know people recommend this but..it really slows down my pc & I take it off everytime Dell puts it on for us. BTW: I will never buy another Dell either.

While AVG is a great replacement for both Norton and McAfee, I prefer the all-in-one AVAST! Anti-Virus.

Zo is dat Hell Noire, AVG liet bij ons rustig twee Trojans door,en dat is ons nog nooit gebeurt bij AVAST Anti Virus die op de achtergrond het hele systeem als een Moeder de Kloek in de gaten houd. Daarnaast is Ewido/AVG combinatie een goeie dagelijkse extra scan die ik direct na opstart heb staan, enne af en toe vind die een tracking cookie, maar niet meer dan dat, AVAST ruimt en beschermd zeker weten, een aanrader, gratis met incl. jaarlijkse registratie !

This is an excellent antivirus program, I got totally sick of Norton slowing my PC down AND when I switched to AVG, It found two viruses that Norton had'nt. I won't use anything but AVG now, I've learned my lesson actually thinking Pay For programs are better!
