I thought it was a great program, but it didn't not register right and didn't not load as free - I still have UNREGISTERED across every item I convert and as I know I did it them same day I downloaded it I guess the program doesn't always work right - I guess sometmes they just want your money. Too bad - I thought it looked nice.

I have downloaded foxonic, and after several hours testing, I think foxonic can rank NO.1 in so many image to pdf converter program, especially for batch converting images (jpg, tif, bmp) to pdf, foxonic do the job very well.

I have search the google (image to pdf) and test the first 10 image to pdf converter (freeware and shareware ), but no one can compare with this one, from the operability, user interface and functionality, I tried to convert part of my photos from my digital camera, about 7000 jpg files, 3.5GB, just 5 minutes, foxonic convert 7000 jpg files to 1 pdf file, greate!!! I don't finish this test with other image to pdf converter, because when I convert about 1000 files with other image to pdf converter, I can't wait for so long time when they convert so many jpg files to pdf, so I aborted this test with other image to pdf converter, if you have time, maybe you can do a deep testing.

I also tried the PDF Creator that #24 recommend, but finally, I even aborted the installation process, when I download the 15MB setup file, and install->run, it said 'you should download 'sun java machine (8MB)' and a 'post script driver' first to create PDF file', you know, not every one is a computer professional, I just want to convert image to PDF, but why so many 'first download' then configurations, then you can do the real job , a word, hard to installation and so big thing (15MB setup file + 8MB sun java machine + more), I don't have interesting to go on to try this free ware.

I also tried a lot of PDF printer drivers (free and not free), I agree with opinions of #36 'all the PDF printer drivers can’t do batch converting job well', if you want to do single file to single PDF file converting, ok, a PDF printer drivers is suit for this job, and can do very well, but what about 1000, 10000 or even more, in this case, a PDF printer drivers is not horrible, but VERY horrible, I recommend you'd better backup all your job before using a PDF printer drivers to do this batch converting job (in my testing, using a free PDF printer drivers to converting 7000 jpg to 1 PDF file, cause my system downed because system resource is not enough when converting to the 50%, my system: XP sp2 with 1GB RAM), I also can't finish this test with a PDF printer drivers, someone else can do it.

my opinions is for those who really want to batch converting lots of image to PDF, foxonic is right choice, a fast, powerful (many PDF settings to control the converting process) and neat handy tool for you.

for those who want to convert text/word/any to PDF (not batch converting), and just converting 1 (or several) image to PDF, a PDF printer drivers is suit for you.

But I still think, when converting images to PDF, from the operability of this two type of program (PDF Printer drivers and a stand alone Image to PDF converter), a stand alone image to PDF converter will still win the test.

Nice program. Good for turning scans or other images of pages back into books. I've previously done this on Unix with a script and the various pnm tools, but it's a lot more convenient for me to do it on Windows where the scanner is.

Personally, for a quick and dirty PDF creator, I like PDF 995. You can just "print to PDF" say, from MS Word or Powerpoint and it does a good job of creating a PDF. It does a good job picking up links, but--and they may have fixed this--it didn't make email links live. (We were using it on a company newsletter.)

I think it is easier to put picture into word document or power point (microsoft or open office), then convert it into pdf since you can edit and view the picture before you convert it.

#40, not if you are considering making an illustrated ebook, brochure, catalog, etc!

This installed and registered fine on both my XP and Vista machines. I can see many ways this will be useful! Interesting that its name is so similar to the wonderful freeware FOXIT reader, pdf reader editor, etc. Thanks to Foxit reader, I learned to like pdf files insteead of hate them like I did when I had to put up with Adobe.

To John (#38):
Have you heard of Google?

To jimmbo (#40):
My sentiments exactly.

To Robin (#41):
I find it hard to believe you have any image over 2 and a half GB in size. The largest I've ever seen, and I've seen a lot, is maybe around 500 MB. That's not to say there aren't larger, but 2 and a half GB? I won't believe that until I see it. Put up a link to one to prove this.
