Hi, johnn28, no you don't need any key. Just read and follow the readme.txt file included in the downloaded .zip file. Before clicking on activate.exe make sure, that the programme is not running anymore.

    Looking for a logical explanation...
why todays program "SoftOrbits Flash Drive Recovery" doesn't show up any deleted files at all ( XP SP3).
The previous (related) "GRT Recover My File" giveaway didn't either...

    -Edit-
Today's Event manager reveals crashing of frecover.exe on 0x00005edf.

    Today ...
Waiting main site moderation for ages, posting here!
This one is definitely not working.
    Install & activation OK.
Tested on two laptops, IBM T21 and DELL x300 Latitude,
    WnXPsp2 both.
    Results:
    USB Drive @T21 @x300
RunDisk 1GB not found at all
noname 2GB scan discovered nothing, recover! crashed
A-Data 8GB scan discovered nothing, recover! crashed
    Thanks anyway

No logical explanation here, just the tip to read mike's post # 35.

That's like mine experiences with USB drives.
I could recover some data with tool A and other data with tool B and some USB sticks don't speak at all with any recovery programme.

BTW I have less trouble with USB devices since I'm running Zentimo. Since then I never had an unreadable stick anymore.

But that has of course nothing to do with the SoftOrbit recovery tools, which seem to be not very reliable.

    Sorry, I can't help.
