I searched the web for some kind of a personal finance or money manager software. I found one or two freewares. Although they were good but they do not contain some of the features I was looking for. Does anyone know of a good personal finance or money manager software that is free? Does GOTD have any plans to give away such a software?

  2. Two questions - what were the two products you found? What are "some of the features you are looking for"? (That were lacking in these two products)

    I tried
    1. Ace Money Lite (http://www.mechcad.net/products/acemoney/) but lite version does not let you have more than one account. Plus it has too many complex and unnecessary features.
    2. Personal Finances Lite (http://www.financessoftware.com/index.html). I kind of liked this software because I was looking for a software that would let me track my expenses and savings on a monthly basis. This has a simple user interface that has most of the features useful to an average home user. Unfortunately lite version has several missing features present in pro version.
    3. Money Manager Ex. Looked ok for the most part but does not have capability to let me add accounts other than bank accounts.

The features I was looking for were not present in a single but multiple softwares. Of the three I evaluated Personal Finances Lite seemed to be useful to me and I think will be useful to an average home user.
