I am having a problem with the DVDFab DVD Copy 8 giveaway from Jan. 27, 2011.
ALL of the options that used to be available when using the software INCLUDING DVD Copy now say "Expired" and a message (dialog) pops up in the application that says "! The 'DVD Copy' option is expired. Please buy or renew it at the http://www.dvdfab.com. <OK>"
The license for this GOTD was supposed to be good for 1 year.
Please help!

Just looking at the dates - about a month after being installed and it expires?
All of our software is distributed as shareware. You can install and try them for 30 days. During this evaluation period, the software is fully functional. To continue using the software after the 30-day evaluation period, you should pay a registration fee.
Could it be the software wasn't activated successfully, and so was running as a 1 month trial? (I can't say because I didn't download this particular giveaway).
Just an idea.

That sounds plausible, however, I KNOW for a fact that the "Update Expire Time" for DVDCopy used to be listed in the application as "01/28/2012" which would have been a year. This leads me to believe that it was activated correctly. I posted here wondering if anyone else had experienced the same thing. :(

Sorry, I misspoke. It would have been listed as "January 28, 2012" in the application and not "01/28/2012".
From memory, wasn't there a code that was given to register it for 12 months? Can you re-enter that code? or Re-install the app and enter the code?
I'm assuming that the end-date is hardcoded into the registration key - so if you reinstalled 6 months later - the end date wouldn't change. (again, sorry I cannot check this myself).

The codes given were valid(for updates) either until
July 24th,2011(1rst version) or January 24th,2011 (rerun).
I entered the second code without running the new encrypted setup and the installation date was Jan 27th, so the reg key most probably contains the end date,just like BuBBy said
There's no harm in trying to re-enter the registration code.
Not sure if the registration works with the regular download version,but it probably does too.

I re-entered the same registration key. And now it does indeed say that DVDCopy expires "January 24, 2012".

Also the "licensee" is listed as "Giveawayoftheday".
