Hi, Here I have for your use, a list of free alternatives to proper shareware files:

@ Photofiltre - A free alternative to PSP or Adobe Photoshop. Really good bearing in mind it's free (www.photofiltre.com)

@ Open Office - Takes the place of Microsoft Office for FREE. Contains: Base (Access), Calc(Excel), Draw, Impress(Powerpoint), Math and Writer(Word) (www.openoffice.org)

Sun StarOffice is supposedly like OpenOffice, but with more goodies I am told. And Sun StarOffice 7 can be found for free from this website. I have both OpenOffice and StarOffice, but I never installed them. As I use MS Office 2000 so much anyway.

  5. Worth mentioning that a big difference between

    OpenOffice 2.2 http://www.openoffice.org/
    Sun StarOffice 8 http://www.sun.com/software/star/staroffice/index.jsp

is that OpenOffice is FREE and StarOffice requires a license to be purchased. As mentioned above - there are older versions of StarOffice available (with the option to purchase an upgrade to the current release).
