goCRM Website is not allowing registering

    This is on GAOTD:
    goCRM is a CRM system, designed to provide the simplest way for you to manage your everyday business tasks. Take control of your customers, suppliers, prospects, staff, quotes, orders and much more.

    when I register on http://www.gocrmsoftware.com website. I get this

    Problem with Voucher Code - Expired
    There has been a problem with your voucher code and we are unable to proceed with the purchase.

    The code you entered, giveawayoftheday, is no longer valid.

    Are we working on a fix for this?

    I have a problem with them also. Though different to yours. I can't register the software either.
    I entered the voucher code and completed the online form. I received the confirmation page and have been waiting for the reg code email to arrive.

    That was about 5 hours ago. I've sent their support an e-mail explaining the situation, 15 mins ago. I would suggest you also contact them at support@goCRMsoftware.com

    It all looks very good in theory, but as far as I know their system of registration collapsed at least 9+1/2 hours prior to the giveaway deadline. There is also no support coming from their company to assist GOTD members with registration problems.

    If I didn't know better I would think there was a set maximum of download registrations available, once that target had been reached the offer was then withdrawn without notice, and the remaining time was nothing more than an exercise in collecting user details for a mailing list.

    Once again: Where was the backup support service during the giveaway period?

    That is the final straw for me with handing over personal details to developers pimping their software on GOTD.

    i downloaded mine at 12:03 am - i received the reg at 10:30 PM -- and the $%^&* didnt install right

  5. Clearly Midnightstar were unprepared for the response. The process for generating codes and validating user input does not appear to be automated (or checked on submission) and correcting codes and sending emails is currently being done by hand.

    We are getting about 15 percent of people entering data incorrectly. This means I have to send keys out by hand and have been doing so for 14 + hours. I am off to bed! But I will continue to do the tomorrow morning.
    As a quick fix install the software and select generate trial. This gives you a 30 Day trial of the software. I am going through all the errors (typos ect)on the buy page and sending out keys by hand.

    You WILL get a code even if its after the expiry of the offer.So long as you have tried to register the software today.

    If you still have no email from us in 24 hours mail me back with your company name.

    We have had many thousands of new users in a single day. We are working on getting keys out ASAP.

    For a company trying to market CRM software for managing large numbers of clients and streamlining communication with them - this appears to be a very un-funny joke.

    Really not a good testimonial of their own systems.

  8. Well I filled in all my details correctly as asked by the owners of the site.

    It's been 25 hours nearly now, so if they can't be bothered then I will have the same attitude also.

    Plenty of alternatives around I can buy from amazon for half the price.

    I guess CRM will die by their own sword with this one, but they may eventually get around to rectifying the problem. Still, I would not feel confident contacting/using their support for a purchased product following these events.

    "phew"...I had been extremely busy, and had not slept for 75 hours when this episode began. Don't know how I held it together to avoid the snipper lol!.....Grrrr so frustrating.

    I received this communication an hour ago (just now checked the mail), from Midnightstar Support.

    [ "Hi you have entered your company name incorrect. (as giveawayoftheday)
    Can I please have you company name." ]

    I followed the instructions step-by-step, reached the confirmation page and was instructed to send for the reg code. That code was not e-mailed to me.
    Even though I had not slept for three days, it all seemed straight forward at the time.

    So why do I now get the above mail? This process is weird.

    I have just contacted them for the last time. If they can't sort it out in their next mail, I will forget the program too.

    Hello,

    I am with the group that never received the code. After filling all the requiered boxes at the registration site and used the GAOTD voucher I got to a page that told me that with the voucher I was entitled to free use of goCRM. The page contained my company and a message stating that "the license has been sent to myemail@myserver.com".

    I printed and scanned the page in case somebody does not believe it happened. The message clearly said that the email had already been sent. That was a lie. I waited for 4 hours, my bed time came and I closed the computer for the day.

    This morning, after checking all the folders in my email and finding no email with codes, I went back to the comments section which stated that if we sent an email to the support guys at goCRM with the company and the email info within 12hrs, they will honor their GAOTD premise.

    I sent the friendly support people from goCRM an email describing the details within the 12 hours deadline, and 12 hours later I still have received no response, not even a lowly automatic response saying that they received my email and will be contacted soon or something like that. It seems like another lie. I am not alone in this lack of true statements it seems. Many other complains are pooping up.

    In one hand you guys say the product will be a GAOTD again with better preparation and on the other hand I am not sure it is worth the trouble. An outfit that is unable to get GAOTD to work can't be that great. I mean, even people writing pacman clones can get it to work!

    Just my opinion.

    SUCCESS AT LAST!...

    Well, to be fair, I can only call 'em as I see 'em.

    It is a ridiculous form of registration. That caused the problem to begin with, for so many. I think we may also be dealing with a customer support consisting of one person, who also has to sleep, and who has been inundated with questions and complaints.

    I had to get some catch-up sleep after sending my last mail to Midnightstar Support.
    I then went out for 5 hours. Just arrived home at 3:00AM and an e-mail with the registration code was sitting here waiting for me. I installed the program, entered the code, and the full version is now up and running. At first glance it looks good.

    So I guess the message to all is, ....persist. Midnightstar Support have eventually replied to my 3 mails. I can only say that although the process has been very slow, they did hold up their end of the deal.

    So for those who truly want to setup this program, contact support@goCRMsoftware.com again and explain your situation and the problem you have had registering the software.
    Just remember that support is based in the UK, so if you mail them at 2:00AM London time, be patient waiting for a reply (the guy will be sleeping).

    In summary:
    > Thanks to Midnightstar/goCRM for holding up their end of the deal many hours after the giveaway offer had closed.
    > GOTD Admin - Once again the registration process has caused problems for many,..your own moderators included on this occasion. You could make their lives, and ours, much easier by bartering a better system of activation/registration with some of your clients/developers.

    All is not lost - I hope this helps someone.

    I am happy for you Wolven. I never got any code. Today I resent yesterday's friendly note as an attachment to a not so friendly note. I already unistalled the software. Win some loose some. Today I have the same problem with AVS. The code I got, but the server wont connect or something like that. This boat is sinking fast.

    Be patient - apparently GOTD is giving us another 24 hrs. to straighten out Friday's problems. As for the Midnightstar guys - They said they will honor all that began having problems before the end of the giveaway day. So make sure they have heard from you and give them (or should I say HIM!)time to catch up - he's probably catching up on his missed sleep at this point.

    Both offers are still alive, so don't get frustrated.

    BTW - Did you check your spam folder for Midnightstar's reply? A lot of people found it there.
