   I tried to install WebSite X5, but it would crash before the program's installation began. I found the problem to be a missing Msvbvm50.dll file.

   If you have run into this problem, do the following:

   1. Download the file from the following URL: http://www.dll-files.com/dllindex/pop.php?msvbvm50

   2. Unzip the downloaded file and place the DLL in your Windows\System32 directory.

   3. Install WebSite X5.

   Just as a side note: I used pookmail.com as my disposable email service, since the registration process requires an email address.

   Yes, seems your system is missing a microsoft visual basic 5 file.

   The websitex5 installer has this file in it's package.

   Hi,
   probabily you are installing it on MS Vista. This version is not Vista compatible, only the new one, sorry.

   Good of you to make an appearance here, but more than further product advertising from you, GOTD members need your help with technical issues related to registration, installation and the program not opening after being correctly installed and registered.

   Hi,
   I add the answer both on comments and into the other post :-)

   I think that the problem comes also because you need to register on both GOTD and Incomedia when you launch the Setup file.

   Anyway here you can find the installation instructions

   The software required to be used with the default Windows Setting related to Fonts.

   Please check it from
   Windows Control Panel | Screen (Video) | Settings (last tab on the right) | Advanced (button) | General tab

   set "Normal font (96dpi)" instead of "Large font (120dpi)".

   I think this could be the problem if the app doesn't start.

   No problem,..in my specific case the program IS registered at both GOTD and Incomedia.
   It just will not open (run).

   Are you suggesting I should go through the entire process again, even though the program installed and registered correctly? "phew!"..I think I would rather use a different program.

   On vista I suppose installing the visual basic file or copying it first to the correct system folder, maybe a reboot, then install website X5 should work, as I think vista lacks msvb5 file.

   I installed X5 facing the usual troubles, but I can't run it since I get a startup error message:
   Runtime error 429 - You don't have an appropriate license to use this functionality.

   This happens on 2 different PCs (obviously with 2 different registration).
   I wrote an email to the help desk but I got no answer yet.
   Anyone may help me?

    I did not see your 'font size' post prior to my last post.

    Thanks so much for the suggestion [set "Normal font (96dpi)" instead of "Large font (120dpi)"].

    That has resolved the issue for me and the program is now up and running...very nice!

    Kudos! Good to see a developer take an interest in supporting GOTD members with installation issues.

    Ahhhh,...now I will change screen resolution so I can see the desktop again LOL!

    I hope you are able to help others with their registration and install issues, also.

    I saw that there are many users that has got the anti-spam filter ON, please use a different email address or enable our email address

    I know it works with hotmail.co.uk as I received mine to xxxxx____@hotmail.co.uk very quickly (x's are not name).

    About 10 seconds.

    No, GA gives you the Product Code you need to use just the first time to complete the online registration.

    i just tried this download. all i am getting in the zip file is the text file and the activate.exe. when clicking on the activate.exe i get that the file is no longer available that i have to purchase the program.

    No need to apologise, some users might be getting paranoid.

    Lot of dead heads today have visited gaotd, infact I have never seen so many comments so quickly in 5 months.

    I think it's the amount of users coming in.

    I have posted details to my usual haunts to rev up the volumes of visitors.

    So maybe I am to blame.

    Any way to check if the installation was succesfull? I had to do many weird things like install the trial version and, being unable to uninstall it, I went to the regedit and deleted everything there about the program and erased the installation.

    The program would still not install when given the code that came in the email, so I put back some of the register changes I made and the full version installation went through an the email code was accepted and all seems fine, but I can find no way to check that the version is the full one.
