Hey everyone. Each time I download the free software, it seems to install and activate correctly, but when I go to open the program, it automatically crashes once I click on the link. Does anyone have any ideas? I am running Windows Vista 32bit.

Try running it in compatibility mode.
Maybe a driver or two needs updating.

Just tried that...didn't work. As far as drivers, I have all the latest drivers for everything on my computer, so I don't think that's what it is. And it's with every program from this site...I have never had this problem with programs before...
Any other ideas?

No more ideas, the latest app is written for vista, a lot of the apps and games are not vista ready.
If you have xp go back to it and wait for sp1 to come out for vista, sp1 for vista should be ready by December 2007.
Or dual boot.

huh...ok. It is just very strange...I wonder if more people with Vista are having the same problem.
I went right to the app's web site and downloaded the normal trial version, and it loaded fine, so it's definietly something with GAOTD, just not sure what...

Like Lee said - compatability mode. I've got Vista, and yes, there seems problems with some games in paticular.
Just run it as administrator - compatability wizard in help and support, or even just right clicking.Posted 1 year ago # -

No, though it does says it works with windows vista.

@hhisc383 - Do you get any error messages at all?
Most of the activation problems seen so far revolve around some sort of interference caused by a personal firewall or similar.

The activation works fine...as well as the installation.
Its when I go to open the program after installing it...it crashes automatically. Nothing comes up except the message from windows saying the app has crashed.
