Why does the site say Beta 2 at the top? I have been with this site from the beginning and don't recall seeing an alpha or beta 1. Does that mean the way it works will be changed in a final version?
Do they plan on going to a different format or paid memberships like No Nags? I would rather just buy commercial software than pay for the privilege of trying unknown software I may not keep, that's why No Nags isn't in my bookmarks anymore.

Since I'm new, I have no clue. But, just thinking, its very possible that alpha wasn't even a public version. Just a testing version for those that were developing the site.
I'd much rather see beta at the top of a page than like some of these big companies that load non-working pages and try to convince you that they actually work and are the final release.
