   Is there a way to stop the software informer installation in my computer?
   I do not remember giving access or permission to install it.
   If there is no way to disable the installation, and you are forcing me to install it.
   Please let me know and I will stop downloading your give away of the day.

   It seems to be attached to the latest GOTD offering (AnVir Task Manager 6.1.0). I got rid of all of it when SI just went and installed itself. What kind of crap is GOTD "giving away" anyway?

   My mistake. GOTD has "partnered" with SI and it's supposed to ask if you want to opt in. NFW does it ask. What a bunch of crap that is!

   You have to know that the GOTD team is a bit strapped on cash and they do need to pay developers for one licence for every giveaway. If you want to prevent SI from installing, see this post: http://www.giveawayoftheday.com/forums/topic/5989 . Download the .reg file and import it into your registry. It'll effectively prevent the wrapper from installing SI by setting its "SI installed" flag.

   There were two boxes to uncheck when installing. If unchecked the bottom box, which I did at first and had to go back. It cancels or darkens the si box. Meaning that you are choosing to download it.

   You literally have to uncheck the first box and then uncheck the second box for it to not have installed or downloaded.

   I know its a bit late now, but next time you'll know.
