OK I think I fixed Avira (again). I went into programs and advanced and saw that allow connection to internet was not checked so I checked it and the scan worked OK. What I don't understand is why if I told it to remember the rule and allowed it the first time, why doesn't it save that setting?

offlineMinbari AmbassadorI don't know. But I do know, personally, that when you first start setting up ZA and you get 500 pop ups at one time asking about access, the possibility of missing the checked box can happen. Been there, done that, bought the tee shirt.
Clicking on "More Info" is helpful too. Having the Pro version means you get details etc. And if you still can't figure it out.... Google is your friend.

offlineMinbari AmbassadorThen something is wrong. Go to "Overview" then "Product Info" then make sure the "Licensing Information" matches the Reg code you got in your email from ZA.
The bottom section,"Registration" should have your name and email in it also.

Does it say it's the Pro Version and does it have nearly a yr until it expires? I am leaning towards the fact it was, maybe, a corrupt install. When you installed,did you close down all your programs but the virus scan?
