   Orbit Downloader can capture streaming media from just about any site. I have used it for quite awhile now and have liked how it worked. Home Page

   I use Flashget for downloading streamers. It's a pretty good all-in-one solution for downloading stuff, though the Bittorent support sucks.

   I don't think Orbit Downloader, Flashget or Video Zilla
   works on these sites:

   http://dsc.discovery.com/video/
   http://www.aetv.com/videos/display.jsp

   (camstudio does)

   For youtube type sites, VideoGet is good.

   It doesn't work on those sites because they don't use the typical video formats, instead using their own proprietary formats. If you did get it to download, you probably can't view them.

   That's why Camstudio works on those, cause it screen captures the video
   window right off the screen and then converts the capture to avi or swf.
