   Cam anyone suggest good software for converting MOV to AVI? I've tried severl & seem
   to be having difficulty finding the *right* one. Thanks

   FormatFactory 2.0 does right fine as far as I can tell. free, too.

   I haven't used it but have heard good things about RAD Video Tools and it appears to convert MOV to AVI.

   Just make sure you have the .mov codec (format factory uses the system codecs to read files, but not to write 'em) and it's all good.
