I downloaded and installed WinSnap the day it was the Giveaway of the Day. I did not have any problems. Yesterday when I started the program, I received a message stating that I am on day 23 of my 30 day trial?
In the program folder is the Giveaway of the Day registry key, but when I tried to merge it with the registry, I got an error saying it is not a binary key.
Please help.
This was released here on January 31st. And that key doesn't merge with the Windows registry through Windows, but through the program register feature. This program is also available for free for personal use at:
Oops! Well WinSnap v1.1 was free for personal use back in January 31st. But the new WinSnap 2.0 isn't. Sounds like you upgraded. As the older WinSnap from GAOTD had no 30 trial restriction. I did a search, and here is where you can get the older free one.
Don't upgrade when it tells you a newer version is available. From their forums, the key for GAotD does not work for v2.0 and up.
