Recently I got a virus and the usual thing that I'd have to do is reformat my computer. So i decided to use the Vista service pack since my xp one didn't work. I restored all my programs that i needed but when i got to install Warcraft, it didn't work. I installed it but it didn't work. It said that I need DirectX 8.1 or higher to run it. The Warcraft installer had a DirectX 8.1 installer but it seem to be unclickable so i found another way. I searched it up and got the DirectX installer and installed it but everytime I did, it would always say that it was installed improperly. But whats there to installing something? How do you stuff up? So i had to uninstall it. I reattempted it and now there was no box that said it was installed incorrectly but when i tried running Warcraft (that i previously install) it said that I need DirectX 8.1 again.
What should i do?
