The error some (including me until now) have been reviving when they they try to run "activate.exe" or "setup.exe" is due to connection settings. If you are using HughesNet, download this tool: http://customercare.myhughesnet.com/downloads/LCCU-6001.zip . When you run it, set it to revert IE7 settings. That fixed the problem for me.
It would be great if GOTD released some simple software that automatically changed IE7's connection settings to that what is accepted. I couldn't imagine they would actually do this, as very few have this problem, but its worth a mention.
Hope that helps some of you who were having this problem. If you don't use HughesNet, think of anything that is between your computer and the internet (ie web accelerator).
