I downloaded this software from your site FREE on 10/30/08, and now it tells me to do a 30 free trial and purchase the program. I am confused as this was working perfectly from Oct 2008 till now. Is there a registration key or something that you can send me?
Kind regards,
Trisha Alen

This is probably because you tried to upgrade from 6.2 -> 6.4. 6.2 is the version that was free here.
You can either wait until WinUtilties comes back around (which it most likely will) or you can get:
TuneUp Utilities 2007
WinOptimizer 5
Desktop Maestro 2All three programs are available for free.

Trisha,
Iv'e been using WinUtilities for some time now with no problems.
One thing I noticed about the program is the similarity to Glary Utilities. If you are used to WinUtilities GUI then you'll be familliar with Glary's.
Glary Utilities is slightly more powerfull and includes a registry defragmenter, something WinUtilities is lacking.Glary has a Portable version available for system administrators and advanced users that isn't generally known.
Look halfway down this page and find the zip download.http://www.glaryutilities.com/builds.html
Revo Uninstaller also offers a free portable version of their popular uninstaller. Again, Look halfway down the page and find the zip download which includes files missing from the self extracting exe.
http://www.revouninstaller.com/revo_uninstaller_free_download.html
Download and extract the ZIP files to a folder and copy that folder to a USB Mass storage drive. You can run revouninstaller.exe and GlaryUtilitiesPortable.exe from the USB without installation! These are must have utilities for anyone that installs and uninstalls frequently.

You might want to give this a try. Advanced SystemCare Free v3 Portable Edition.
I've been using Iobit smart defrag with very good results for a long time but I wasn't aware that Advanced SystemCare was available in portable format until now.
The GUI might take some getting used to after using WinUtilities, however this is an exceptional program and worth the effort. It also has registry defragmentation which is always a good thing to run after cleaning. You can pick it up here.

I still cannot believe how many few system tools support Windows Vista 64-bit. I know Advanced System Care does and I think Tuneup Ulities do too but other than that there are not many. Symantec has released Norton Utilities and I think that supports Windows Vista 64-bit, but other than that there are not many that I know of.

I haven't looked for any Vista utilities but I'm sure there must be Vista support available.Posted 15 years ago # -

Hi, phlan, sorry to hear about your problem. There can have been a lot of mistakes which killed your registration: it was not activated correctly from the beginning, you tried to update it, or one of the other utilities you are using has deleted parts of the program...When you like this program so much, then you may consider to buy it, or just wait until the next re-run at GOTD. When you read this thread, you'll find some proposals for other tools - or: Google is your friend.
