    I would like help in finding a 'Note' type-of app.,-[free]-, that'll allow me to attach a note to 'ANYTHING,-ANYWHERE'.-[or as much as possible].
    -Not just on the desktop, but folders, files, pictures, etc,... [ -and you don't have to open the note, -just put the cursor over it to read.]

    Well, I think something like that exists,...[somewhere?]
    If you happen to know, it would be much appreciated,
    -THANKS !

    You mean notes on files and folders? Windows Explorer does this. But I think you have to right click on the Name, File Size, etc. in detail view. And add a field called comments I think. Is this what you are looking for? I think this only works with Windows 2000, XP running on a NTFS partition though.

    In Windows Explorer:

    View -> Details

    Now right click on the bar that says Name, Date, etc. Now select comments. You should be all set.

  8. To add a comment - right click on the filename in explorer - select properties - click the "summary tab" (link is to a screenshot - showing the summary entry box).

    Click under "value" and to the right of "Comment" - the box will appear where you can type your comment.

    Hit Apply.

    You're done.

    (I'm almost certain I posted 3 or 4 other freeware filenote type apps. Not sure what happenned - I'll have another look).
