Still trying to run "Vampire Saga; Pandora's Box" and still get the bugslayer error. It will open the opening screen but immediately kick me out and give me the error. I can get a cursor or make any choices in the options. I have tried every compatibility from Win 95 to Win 8, all with the same results. I've tried different resolutions, cleared my cookies and still get this bugslayer error. Has anybody found a solid fix for this yet, or am I just out of luck on this game???

The cursor problem -- are you running at higher than 100% resolution (high DPI). That is known to cause cursor problems. Check the properties and tell it to ignore high DPI if needed.

IF after it crashes you go to Control Panel -> Admin Tools -> Event Viewer, then look for errors within the last hour in the default view, you should see an entry for the application error -- the one I got in a VBox win7 32 VM I think was for a memory access violation. You can use Google or Bing on the error code you see in or for the event at any rate for more info. In my case the game .exe file itself was the faulting module. I did not try running process monitor [from sysinternals at microsoft.com] which might provide more info by going through a log started just before the game, ended as soon as it crashed.
A wild guess... since it effects some people & not others, & since I have little to no software installed in my VM, & since my VM has limited graphics hardware emulation, it ***might*** be related to to the game's DX &/or OpenGL display routines not being able to be executed by graphics hardware. It wouldn't run long enough in my VM to check Process Explorer to see if DX or OpenGL was used. Another wild guess is that if the bugslayer code was added to the game & left in the code, perhaps at some point [in beta?] problems may have been a bit common.
But again, those are only Wild Guesses, & shouldn't be taken to mean much.
