Suki, I believe the company running the promo specifically asked that the link NOT be published here. Now that it has, they'll think (by virtue of servers identifying where site traffic originates) that GAOTD broke the rule. Maybe if someone deletes that link promptly enough (say, by using the EDIT option within the hour), the goose (no offense K8) laying the golden eggs won't be forced to stop.

It's akin to using "Admiral Seeds" instead of a popular word that GAOTD forbids.

Two points worth considering about the above.

    1. The link provided does NOT direct you straight to the download link, so actually no 'rules' have been broken.

    2. For those who wish to download the 'PC Tools Internet Security 2008' program, there are (at least) two snags which may deter some from continuing. Prior to actually downloading a warning is clearly stated. If you already have Avast! anti virus and/or COMODO Firewall, it advises that those programs are deleted from your computer first, because they will conflict with PC Tools Internet Security and cause instability on your computer!

Very sorry to be the bearer of bad news, but hopefully this information will save some of you time and effort. Keep smiling!

Something else I'd like to mention. Several times I've downloaded free things from PC Tools, and for some strange reason that's when I'd have a problem with my computer! So, I'm very leery about getting their offers anymore.

    got the link already!

Did you also delete my post too! Thanks copmom, I got the link, and Rm, still think they would like people to renew!

Who's on today, BuBBy or Lee? Maybe someone new!

Also thanks JC, that's why I wouldn't use Trend Micro, it had me take Spybot search and destroy off, and I couldn't get it back on one computer. It took me transferring the path to get it back on.

Love the Download Statusbar for the Fox, quicker than the censors!

Jerry, I wasn't accusing GAOTD of anything. I believe the company (the publisher, not the software developer) in question wasn't just trying to stop direct downloading leechers, but prevent nonsubscribers from obtaining the access portal URL. Sisyphean task, that, but why make waves for GAOTD if there's no need? As for this particular software, I wouldn't install it in the first place because of the known quirk it has of telling you to DELETE other software. No way I'm using anything that tells me to get rid of decent progs.

Now you got me going, what movie was it that had "go on say the word" in it?

Huh? Please to refresh an old guy's short-term memory. Did I allude to that movie phrase in a previous comment somewhere, or is this a trivia question? (I'm terrrrible at trivia)

Admiral Seeds? Can I google that, lmao!

I am tempting you "to say the word"...........there is a movie that has that line in it, but this old lady can't remember it either!

Googling probably won't do you any good, but if you can reverse engineer an anagram, it's on the list. I proffered Dadaism Reels as an alternative, but Admiral Seeds seemed to catch on.

Tempting? Okay, I had to cheat and google for it. The closest I could find was, "It's A Wonderful Life" - the "lasso the moon" segment.

"Every time Rune rings a Lady of the Night's bell, a devil gets his wings."

Now "Ring My Bell" is a pretty old song, lol, reminds me of my Disco Days!

I would go further, but it might get edited out for sexual innuendo, Rofl!
