   Our Grand Poobah, being *very* busy preparing for Xmas (Huh?? in June?? I'm sooo confused!) has asked I climb to the tallest Mango Tree of the Land and gather everybody for this important announcement:

   Mozilla wants to set a World Record as it launches FF-3

   So Peeps, go forth and put down your names!!

   The more the merrier and we would LUV to have a Great Participation from the GOTD Community :D

   The date was officially announced yesterday, for next Tuesday.

   As the date nears, hope everybody is up for the challenge.
   The Numbers:
   June 10 at 1am: 981,432
   June 13 at 23h45: 1,190,755

   As soon as you sign-up, write here how many PCs you are updating on Tuesday.
   Mr.B wants to make a tally next Wednesday.

   And for those *not* willing to participate, he has mandated I through them Mangos.
   Yeahhh!! This assignment could be Fun Fun Fun! :D

   If that threat is not scary enough, he would like to remind everybody he does know where you live ...
   oooops, I did not know this!

    Wow Mr.B, that is indeed a very good link!

    I've been looking into FF.3 for a while now. But having an overview of everything in 1 place is great!

    Hoping Xmas in your neck of the woods is going great ... ;*)
    I'll keep throwing Mangos!

    If anybody else has good links to help out the others familiarize w the new stuff, it would be nice!

    I pledged last week for 2 PC's. I have only been using FF for a month. Yes, there is a learning curve but you can make the browser your "own"..which I like. I still have some things I need to address but all in all, I am very impressed. I downloaded the new version but didn't install; as some of my add ons won't work if I do, and with me still learning, thought I would wait till some of the kinks are ironed out.

    For FF2 the first 24hrs was 1.6M dwlds.
    For FF3 Mozilla was hopping to set the record at ~5M for the same 24hrs period.

    Tristan Nitot President of Mozilla Europe, declared that at the 14hr mark, they had already reached 5M of actual downloads!!!

    Now they are thinking maybe it could go to ~7M or 8M

    Closing time is 18h BST, so we still have a bit of time on this side of the Lake
    So, lets keep downloading :D

    one PC down load 4 time befor I get a good one fist one was 1 MB & download was slow, Test Firefox3 for a few weeks now it very good & fast all so have Opera allso good don't like IE
