After downloading EASUS Partition Manager (GOTD offer for 04 June 2008), I started using it. I opened and closed the program four or five times. Each time I double clicked on the desktop icon I got a message from ZoneAlarm that a connection to the Internet was being requested. The EASUS program opened even when I blocked the outgoing connection. Requested connection:
    208.48.254.17 (Global Crossing
    OrgID: GBLX
    Address: 14605 South 50th Street
    City: Phoenix
    StateProv: AZ

Today the requested connection is for 127.0.0.1 (ports 1609 and 16300 followed by a request for 216.92.126.234DNS. I am assuming this connection is to my self - but it is a funny way to open a program. May be that in order to give me information on my hard drives the program goes through an Internet connection??

The file calling the Internet connection is "epm.exe"

Go to Help - uncheck "check for update at startup".
