This application is ideal for my office environment, but I won't be able to install it on Monday. Who's idea was this to give it away on a Saturday? I wish you could re-release this for us on an office day. Or does the developer not want us to be able to test it in a commercial environment?

  2. It's for personal use and not for a profit making organization, so maybe that is why it was upped on a Saturday.

Thanks Lee for the "stock" answer, I know it is for personal use, but surely these developers would love to sell some of this software to the corporate world? Or are they only marketing to the non-profit environment? Their corporate website looks ... well, very corporate to me. As I understand it, part of the purpose of GOTD, and part of your "sell" to the developers is that we users are given a chance to test-drive the software with a view to us making an actual "purchase" of the official program. Your decision to give this piece of crucial software away on a weekend was either deliberate or poor planning. If it was deliberate, and there is a legitimate reason, then I will accept that. But if it was poor planning, then all I am asking for is a little bit of fore-thought the next time around! Thanks for listening.

sorry... and when I say "you" obviously I am referring to GOTD and not you in your personal capacity! :) ;)

gary: Seems like you have 2 choices.. go to the office today and download it there, or try it at home and if you like it, then buy it for the office.

The offers are not just to give you a 'test drive', they are normally full working versions of the programs .. then if upgrades are available, perhaps you might want to purchase that.

  6. gary....possible 3rd option...Maybe the developer offers a free trial version at their site that you could get at work on Monday? Or some other website might offer a trial version, try googling it.

  8. You have to activate it within a 24 hour period.

    This does run from day-to-day.

My time 08:00 to 08:00 gmt the following day.
