my speaker has a line in port which it says is for portable media.
I had an old speaker lying around with uses a 9mm to 9mm.
I took the old cable and connect my radio to my new speaker through the line in port with the speakers connected to my pc.
I am able to record the radio on my pc, which is cool,
the problem is that I hear soft static from my speakers (positive it is due to the radio), is this normal?
is the old cable the problem?
or is the radio music quality just low?
    thanks

  2. The only thing I know about electronics is that if I stick my wet finger in a socket, I get a whale of a shock. Trust me... I tried it twice just to make sure.

With that caveat to dissuade you from asking me questions, I Googled the terms:
record radio to computer static OR hiss "line in port"

Not sure if the results will help you or not, but this PCWorld article looked promising.
