I downloaded and installed Premium Booster the other day from giveaway and have been using it since then. Today my computer associaties antivirus has quarantined the entire program giving me this flag: premiumbooster.exe is Win32/vmalum.cytm infection

I cannot find anything for this and now I have to ask what this means. Can anyone help here as I did like using that program.
Thanks for any help!

Hi,zephyrdell such things occur quite often. I don't have installed that program, so I can not check it out by myself. I advise you, to read the other threads about virus warnings in the forums and use the links BuBBy gave us, please report back the result. Thanks.

Computer associates doesn't have any information on this problem that it found. So I am beginning to think it just might be something written into the original software wherein it is recognized by the antivirus program to do exactly what it did causing the program not to work. Now you have to purchase it if you liked it so far.
That is my thought and I certainly appreciate you taking the time to attempt to help.
I did go to those links and this is what is making me believe what I typed above.
Thanks again. I will now simply uninstall Premium Booster. Knew it was too good to be true. I alos sent an e-mail to support, but of course they are not responding.

4. Please clarify what you think happened zephyrdell. Do you think that the program (Premium Booster) changed itself after a time to cause it to be quarantined? Thats not good so let us know.

I like greylox did not download and install it otherwise we'd know. Please keep the forum informed.

Since I am not a computer expert here but can find my way around by simply using a lot of common sense once in awhile.......Premium Booster was working great for my on my XP since downloading on May 3 (my birthday of all things). Found problems I didn't even know existed; I used it every other day; and it said no problems or found one since May 3. Yesterday, I was working on something and my Computer Associastion antivirus software all of a sudden popped up indicating 8 problems (all the same) which I typed previously here; I then went to its web site (CA) and the problem was not heard of at all or listed at CA. I then went into the software (CA) and the report again said the chain where it was located. I tried double clicking on the icon for Premium Booster and got the usual little box with the flash light saying it is searching for the program. Today upon turning on my computer, the icon symbol is now the usual blank symbol because the program's main link is gone as it is in quarantine. I feel like it has to be part of the program in Premium Booster and I didn't feel like that until after reading all the comments about previous troubles with other programs and that is why I thought it has to be the program itself. If it is, that is rotten. I e-mailed tech help at the web site for premium booster; but of course..........nothing.
I have other programs from this web site that I am using and nothing like this has happened to me before. Glary utilitles is the pro version and everytime I click on the update, I am expecting it to turn into the free version but it doesn't.....it remains the pro. I wish I could be more specific for you. This is my opinion only.
So now I guess I will hopefully attempt to uninstall this...wonder if it will work when all of the components aren't there.

Forgot to mention this: vmalum.cytm infection was not located anywhere on McAfee; computer associates or even a general search on the web.

Thought I would add this thought, I also downloaded and installed from gawod the Mamutu program and it didn't pick this problem up in its search. In checking my computer just now, the entire .exe file has been removed for premium booster.

I have had the identical problem and posted in CA's forum about it. They seemed to think it was an application control problem and offered instructions on how to add PB to the Application Control List. It was already there.

Nick Nifontov of P.B. responded to my e-mail concerning the quarantining of the program, and assured me that it was a false positive result. Still, no affirmative solution to the problem.
