Hi, cdundee007. Yes, I think that I can help. Click the "Start" button, in the bottom left corner of your screen. Click on "All Programs". Scroll down the list until you locate the folder "Microsoft Office", then click it. Locate "Microsoft Outlook" an right mouse click on it. From the drop down menu, mouse over "Send To" and click "Desktop". That will put a shortcut on the desktop.

Note: You may find that the link to Outlook is located somewhere else in the All Programs list. When you locate it you should still be able to right mouse click to get the drop down menu. I do not have Outlook on my Vista system.

thanks for the response maizeydaze. I know how to place a shortcut on desktop. I want to know how to restore the outlook program icon on desktop so that I can right click on the icon and call up outlook properties and set up e-mail accounts.

    thanks.

cdundee007 - I don't know if this applies to Outlook 2007, but there is a MS fix for this problem for Outlook 2002. It does involve editing the registry...so, I'd be careful. Perhaps, you can find some up to date info on the MS forums.
