Bitte!You're welcome,Gray.
This is a very nice surprise..:)
Thanks BuBBy.Posted 4 months ago # -
Hi, Robert,
it was very nice of you to react in this way. I have not seen that post. I only read your comment and did not understand at once. Some time later I found the thread and the same time BuBBy deleted it. That was the usual sort of speaking on the German site, now the monitoring seems to be better there.
I'm not so busy with writing here lately, must be that, what only Germans know "Frühjahrsmüdigkeit".
Have fun, Robert

Hi Graylox,
There's only one cure...
It's a bright and sunny day.
You should enjoy it having a nice walk and maybe have a drink or two.
:)
Btw Do you remember this one?

Hi, Robert thanks for your music, very sweet; another of your romantic treasury :) But I must confess that I heard it the first time. That was not my music, in fact, it was uncommon in that time for me to listen to radio or sit in front of a TV for pop-music. 10 years earlier, my head was full of music, but most English and American, much Jazz. In the Berlin Club scene begun a - for Germany - new music and entertainment mode :"Liedermacher". and stand-up comedy, often satirical,...1968 was a very hot time not only for me :) this video is very bad and very typical for the Clubs in that time.

On the other side, some of the leading characters in these clubs, became quite famous, not only in Germany, and not only in the music and theatre scene. The new free kind of thinking and speaking, spread like wildfire in universities and schools. It was like a wake-up-call for Germany. Realistic Children-Theatre and fresh songs for kids were a good base, "fertiliser", for a new education. As a European you know the "68er Generation".

Back to the 80th, my music was besides Jazz, classical music. and -some of you will be shocked- :
http://www.hymn.ru/internationale/index-en.html
I remember with a smile the music of the 50th/60th, 58 my first dancing lesson...
Nowadays it is mostly classical, jazz, certain world-music, and old pop-music. really old, of course American.

Hi, Robert,
I haven't been around so much last time, so we didn't meet and my answer to you vanished in the orcus of the GOTD-forums.
Let's try again, perhaps our paths will cross this time :)
Have a good day.

Robert, do you remember Caterina Valente?
It must have been around 56, Barbara, Barbara and Bärbel have started a Caterina Club:

The Platters - Only You (1955)Posted 4 months ago # -
Hi, Robert,
Doris invited me for a longer trip on Memory Lane. Met not only the young James Garner but also Rock Hudson Ohhhh... Actually I did not see those films as they were new. I saw them many years later in TV. In real life I wouldn't even have seen Rock. He wasn't my type, but in those films ...Ohhh
I loved this Roly Poly
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5DVStlC-9Hc&feature=related.Robert, I think it is time to ask BuBBy to rename this thread into:

Whao, I have slept too long, now there is so much to read and to look at, to remember and to ponder.
BuBBy's link is literally a long story for reflection; I hope the site will soon be up again.
Never thought that you guys could be so sentimental.
I forgot the singer's names -not all-, have never seen them before, but the music is present.
Summer of 69 had some glory days, got my driver's license and an old Porsche (!), the first long trip across Scandinavia.
Kisses sweeter than vine - oh yes...Robert, wouldn't that be the cure for your heart ?
Archangel which of those sweet guys are you? The shy one in the background? Can I get an autograph?
Thank you Paulga for the vid.Do you remember that Lady with the bad accent :
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=31OQe2uheKk&feature=related
That was my first musical. Saw it in Berlin.
