   The 46 best free utilities is the first link, it comes from Richard Gizmo, it describes in layman terms all of the programs, the second link gives the extended list, another 46, then the newsletter with updated programs offered, "free" and sometimes the comparison between the free version and the registered or pro version, i have used this site for the past 3 years, never a problem, highly rated.

   funkymom....i just clicked to that site and they have just changed to a wiki-style and now its the 120+ software categories available to all users......just goes to show how fast the pc world changes.

   Actually it has been changing for several weeks - but end users would've seen the change over the last 48 hours. (It is still a work in progress btw).

   yeah, i just (finally) signed up for the newsletter.
   i, also, just registered for 2 computer courses this summer. in no time at all, i'm going to be able to understand everyone here.
