Dead download link for east side story

It doesn't appear to be just the link. My download was half-done and it quit also. And I'd just got done thanking copMom for the downloading tip. Just my luck. :/

I've been trying for 4 hours. I tried IE, FireFox, added the DownloadThemAll add on someone had mentioned. Nothing. No response to my previous post left me disheartened. I really wanted to try this game.:( :x

I am also having the dead download problem. I really like the looks of this game and want to try it. I hope whoever can fix the problem reads these messages.

I also lost my download and can't get the link back. Too bad I was looking forward to it. But I guess I will keep trying.

Yeh tried to download about 5 hours ago and it stopped. Been trying sense then, both links. are the same whether you use DAP or FGET or with just your browser it now won't download.
This has to be something to do with wikisend. But wonder if GOTD checks this forum and then tries to find out what is going on with wikisend and posts back a message.
The wikisend file ID is 2482 but according to wikisend that download link does not exist or has expired.

Like all the others, the download link is not working for me -- I was really looking forward to trying this one out! Hopefully they will get it fixed or perhaps offer it again tomorrow?

I did the same as 'plady100' ... tried firefox, then IE Explorer and then added the 'Downloadthemall' add on to my Firefox browser. The firefox error message is " Firefox can't establish a connection to the server at w1.wikisend.com:8080". IE Explorer displays "The page cannot be displayed" error message. (I had no trouble connecting to 'wikisend for the screensaver in either Firefox or IE Explorer)

Same problem here. My guess would be that the server is overloaded. With the large file size and a large number of people trying to download, the server just can't keep up with the demand. I will wait for a while and try again. :(

I've een trying since 3am EST, still no luck, I really want to play this one or is it I want it because I can't get it. Hehehehe

Download link is dead , can't be found. Would be nice if they set up an online time listing of the wait time so you could at least get in line to down load.

yea i can't get it either :( and it sucks for me because i have a really fast internet connection (fiber optics, 15 MB/s) so i could download it in a matter of minutes.

I have the same issue as everyone else. Tried to download it in Firefox, Internet Explorer and Opera. All report server connection problems when clicking the download link.

I have dialup, was at 480mb when the link went dead. Always happens that way on large files. Just wish they would get either link working. Sad, but it's normal on here.

You folks do a great job. In this particular case downloads are overwhelming the server, and for good reason. lots of downloads + huge files = dead links. Please, for anything over 200 mbs provide an additional day. People spend time online weekends and with a popular game we can expect problems. Please plan for this.

I have a cable modem so it would have downloaded pretty fast for me. Unfortunately, I get an error message like everyone else. I tried everything I could think of on two different computers. I plan to keep trying but I'm beginning to think I'm tough out of luck. It's too bad because I saw this on BFG and thought it would be great to try.
BTW, does anyone know what you have to do to post a message on the game download page? I posted a message quite a while ago, or so I thought. After clicking "submit comment", it said my post was "waiting for moderation." I refreshed several times and that message stayed there. When I refreshed the page a few minutes ago, my post was gone. Granted in my post I said I couldn't download the game due to the errors, and I asked if it would be possible for GGOTD to add more mirror sites or extend the download time by a day, but I also said some other things too. Others have since posted about the errors, so I'm not sure why my post didn't make it and others did. Does anyone have any ideas so I will know what to do the next time I want to post a comment about a game? TIA :)

Add one more to the count of those unable to download the game. I rarely bother getting games, but this one sounded really good. I hope we'll have a bit longer to download this one, since we can't get at it. I did get through to server 2 times. Once the download lasted less than a minute, the next time it was 5 minutes, and neither file is a good or useable one.

I have been trying all day, also. Tried everything that everyone else has tried. Bummer. I really wanted this game. I'm surprised no one from Give Away of the Day has noticed the problem yet. I certainly hope they redo it and let us download tomorrow.

Thanks for the heads up jlouis7518. Is anyone getting much above dial up download speeds? I have a cable modem and I'm bouncing around between 19-56 KB/Sec. That's just crazy. I guess it's because so many people are still trying to download the game. Oh well, at least it's downloading. :) I just hope it doesn't freeze up part of the way through and that it finishes before time runs out.

I'm still trying, but it's not working. I lso hope we can get it tomorrow. I stayed home all day just to get my weekend games.

Its weird because giveawayoftheday downloads are going to wikisend but this one seems totally dead anyone figured out the problem or how to fix it

I Downloaded overnight, BUT got a corrupt? file , Trying again now but by the time its downloaded the activation period will be over,

Still can't get a connection to WikiSend. Please extend the download/registration time for this one.
