Hello. I've been using Mozilla Thunderbird (mozilla.com/thunderbird) as my e-mail client for well over a year. However, being a software junkie, I've found myself looking for a replacement. Also- I've found version 2 to be rather buggy (may have been fixed in newer builds). To get to my point, does anyone know of email clients that can import mail from Thunderbird? (preferably free/GPL) Also- if anyone knows of a program or addon that allows TB to export mail in the .mbox or .eml formats, that would be useful, too. Thanks in advance.

I'm not sure from your post exactly what you're trying to do, but MailStore (http://www.mailstore.com/en/mailstore-home.aspx) will import email from Thunderbird and export it as .eml files.

Thank you. Mailstore is more or less what I was looking for.

  4. I'm just curious as to what the bugs are that are causing you to ditch/change email programs.

I'm using Thunderbird, and I would consider myself a fairly heavy user (I have about a dozen email accounts) and I've not experienced anything that would make me consider making such a drastic change.

Have I missed/overlooked some problem or is this just a change for changes sake? (as you say "being a software junkie").

My bad. I'll be honest here. I made a (big) brain cramp (stupid mistake) when I wrote that post. I wasn't trying to dock Thunderbird as much as I did- I still find it quite excellent. Also, I don't get much email, so switching email clients isn't too drastic to me. So, it was probably a change for changes sake.
