    New Spam Attack

    http://i244.photobucket.com/albums/gg31/graylox/spam/newspam14042008.jpg

since 2 days my most used email-account is getting a lot of spam, mostly game invitations as subject.
    Don't know what's inside.
Is anybody else getting this kind of spam, with this addresser ?

Hope this doesn't have anything to do with White Rabbit's e-mail error. Were you one of the people that he emailed? I doubt it does, as you said that most of it is game related.

I couldn't tell you if I have received any, as my spam filters work so well that I doubt I could even receive a letter from myself, let alone anyone I don't know! -Dan

Normally the spam filter catches everything and even more. But these went through, a couple of times now. Hopefully the filter will learn. As I never log in at game sites (Alawar's game box is the only exception) I have no connection to games. Aside from that, I use Yop Mail or other "Junkies".

dan- that's so funny. just last week, i forwarded an e-mail to myself and didn't receive it. i tried again and then forgot about it, until 2days later when i found it in my bulk folder! that is frickin' ridiculous.

graylox!!! It's NOT spam .. it's ME!! I sent you some jigsaw puzzles that you don't have to download... just click on the .exe and solve them!!! And yes, I got the addy from rabbits email! All of my emails will say FROM: Labels
Lisa, you've been getting them from me!
And.. Dan, and Pam, you didn't get them because I don't have your email addresses! So there.
graylox, if you don't want the puzzles, just let me know and I'll remove you from my 'puzzle' list. Just figured since you like games, you might enjoy these.

CopMom.....Just glanced at your profile and saw you live in the mountains of NC! My wife (girlfriend of 15 years) was born and raised in Asheville. I had to move out there in 1992 to find her. Was greeted by the great Blizzzzzzzard of '93 shortly thereafter. We lived there until 2 years ago. I hate snow.

Dan, as I wrote earlier, we just got back from Sam's Club, in Asheville! It's about 45 minutes from where we live, we're east of there in Haywood County. Oh, you sort of answered my question... on your poem, the blog said you were 18 so guess that wasn't your picture in the Teddy Bear poem, or else you wouldn't have had a wife 15 years. We moved here in '90 from So. Calif., and we very well remember that blizzard of '93! Also remember several years later we had a blizzard May 15th. That's the date the old timers say it's safe to plant their veggie gardens! We had snow yesterday, and it hailed when we went 'down the hill' to the Post Office. Today's sunny & 65, but expect low 30's tonight.

Does your nickname mean you are a Mother AND a cop.....or does it mean you are the MOTHER of a cop? Just a word of advice.....if you are gonna be undercover, you may wanna remove "cop" from your name! :-)

    rofl!

lauri- please keep me on the list. i just checked my trash to see if i had emptied it recently (sometimes i wait), but unfortunately it's all gone. i look forward to getting more.

my ex-husband's band used to play in asheville all the time. i don't know why i'm mentioning this, since i don't like to talk about him too much. i guess it's just nice to be able to relate to people.

Undercover CopMom......Hope you enjoyed that snow! It was about 100 here in Arizona. No, that ISN'T me in the pic. I don't know who the heck he is! About once a month I Google key phrases from some of my poems, and I keep finding them out there. The problem is, every time I find one and I want to write and tell them to put my name on it or remove it, the site makes me join to send a message. I just had to join MySpace a few minutes ago in order to request that the guy there put my name on my poem.

Back in 1999 I was going around in circles through e-mail with a girl who wouldn't remove "Your Teddy Bear" from her web page. She kept insisting that her boyfriend wrote it just for her. Finally, I asked her, "When did he write it?" She gave me some date in 1997. I sent her to a huge poetry web site that always time-stamped all the submissions, and there was "Your Teddy Bear", with a time stamp from 1995. I never heard from her again. I always wished I could have been a fly on the wall during her next conversation with her "romantic" boyfriend!

You mentioned SoCal.....I grew up in San Diego. In my opinion, the best place in the country to live. Too bad I'm not loaded, or I could actually live there. -Dan

So we're all related! Small world. I think everyone that lives around these parts is related, we're the 'outsiders'.. not kidding, if you tell someone something, the whole county knows! Been there, done that! Lisa, OK, will keep you on my list and resend you a few of the ones you dumped. I don't want send them too often so I don't load people's emails down, but then again if I don't, my daughter will call and say, "send me more puzzles"! LOL

The puzzles I send to you are stand alone programs, meaning that nothing will be installed on your computer. You unzip the file and will find an EXE program, run this and the puzzle will appear on your desktop. If you have the brainsbreaker program it will ask if you want to install it to the program.
I got the program a couple of years ago and just love it. It gives you several options, you can start a puzzle and save it to finish later, you can have it separate out the edge pieces, do timed puzzle and so forth. The program is very user friendly. You can create shelves to put your puzzles. You can even choose the shape of your puzzle pieces! It is just like putting a puzzle together from a box, except now you do not have to bother with a table or sorting the pieces or lose any.

OMG.. it really IS a small world! We moved here from So. Calif. First, many years ago, we lived in San Diego, first Mission Beach (when it was decent), and then Ocean Beach. Then we moved to Vista in North San Diego County, before moving here. Our son still lives in San Marcos, and daughter in Oceanside. One thing I still miss is fresh caught fish, and riding down the coast! Used to get the fish in Oceanside harbor. Got fed up with the traffic! Used to take us 15 min. to get to the Price Club when it first went in, and when we moved it took us 1-1/2 hrs. to get there! Same distance, but the traffic! Son said it now takes 1-1/2 hrs. to just get on the fwy. in Esc. in the AM!
You can have the 100 degrees in AZ.. I'll pass on that.

People in Asheville used to ask me, "Why would you live where it hits 100 degrees?" I would answer, "Because you don't have to shovel 100 degrees out of the driveway."

In San Diego, we lived on 30th st. between North Park and Golden Hill. That was from 1956-59 and 61-66. In between we lived in Spring Valley.

We would give just about anything to live there now! Does one of your kids have a room for rent? Maybe even a closet? How about a doghouse? A tent in the backyard??? C'mon.....help a starving poet out here.......

Forgot to mention.....Mission Beach is my FAVORITE beach. We like to stay at the Beach Cottages there. And we love sitting on the roof at 'CANES and eating pizza while I pretend not to notice all the bikini-clad girls......

Yes.. son could pitch a tent for you in his backyard. OR, maybe he could find you a nice empty cell at the police station to bunk out in?? :D
Seniors?? I'm in my prime.. my golden years!! Or have they tarnished?
Oh, I know exactly where North Park is. Hubby's uncle lived there.
And one more point.. we don't have to shovel either. If it snows we stay home and wait for the plows to clear the road. Of course when we first moved here and had that blizzard in '93 we didn't know better. Hubby about killed himself shoveling the driveway by the road so we could get out.. well the plows came up and piled it all right back again! Grrrrrrr! That was when we had no power for a few days. Then we decided to light the fireplace for the 1st time for heat. We did NOT know about a closed 'flue'.. picture me, hubby, and daughter all standing on the front porch freezing with all the windows open to clear the smoke out of the house!

I did the same thing your husband did. I shovelled a 100 foot path throught about 8 foot high snow, just to realize afterward that they weren't going to clear the road I was on for days.

I worked at ITT in Asheville, making anti-lock brake systems for cars (assembly-line work) That's where I met my wife/girlfriend/better half/life partner/person I would die without. It was funny during the blizzard, because ITT had contracts with companies like Chevy and Ford, and they were fined thousands of dollars per MINUTE for any down-time at the auto plants that was due to ITT not getting brake systems to them in time. They didn't care what the weather was like. So here was this 8 feet of snow surrounding ITT, and people were trapped inside making brake systems, and there were helicopters landing and taking off from the roof with brakes for the auto companies. Luckily for me, the blizzard hit while I was at home, so I got several days off. However, we had no electric, no water (water pumps out), couldn't shower...couldn't flush...couldn't do much of anything. That was when I decided that the mountains of NC were not for me. I stuck around because Ellen's family is there, but I finally reached my limit and we left. I will NEVER live there again, unless the poles shift and the weather changes. The bad thing is, we have a 10x15 storage unit jammed to the max (no furniture either) in Hendersonville. One day I will manage to drag myself back there for all my stuff. Maybe I could get myself extradited and save the cost of the trip!

Hi, copmom / Lauri / Labels
thank you for your post and mail and that you have clarified the situation.
All the "Labels"mails are as spam deleted as I could not identify the addresser. Lauri, I had appreciated it, when you had asked before and not sent your mails "anonym".
Sorry for my late reaction, but sometimes asks RealLive for attention and input.
I wish you a good day or night and think, we will be the same forum-friends as before this misunderstanding.

graylox, sorry for the misunderstanding.. I should have emailed you first to ask if you'd like me to include you with those I send puzzles to, and that first one that you describe as political was an error.. I did not mean to send that to you at all! It won't happen anymore!
We will still remain friends, I hope!

Whoa .. this must be reunion week.

CopMom, I used to live in Oceanside, on Pacific Street, right above the beach. Also lived in the Vista hill country. I grew up in southern California, when it was lovely, clean and peaceful; wandered all over the beaches, learned to surf at Huntington (nice rhythmic waves there). Were you in Oceanside when that 18-wheeler tried to make the turn onto the Strand? Would you believe the folks that used to own the concession stand at the pier .. now live across the highway from me?

Pretzel .. what part of Arizona? I was born in Phoenix. When it was a village <grin>

Either of you ever been around Beaufort, SC ? Know where Lady's Island is?

    Born in Phoenix? I'm sorry.

I am near Yuma right now. I lived in Tucson from 69-80, then off and on after that. I guess I'll never settle down in one spot unless that spot is San Diego. Sigh.....
