If there isn't going to be a game, I wish they would let us know ahead of time. This reminds me of back when they stopped doing the daily games. They waited days before letting people know what was going on.
It reminds me of what they say about being late with bill payments. "If you can't pay the bill, at least let the people you owe know ahead of time that you can't meet your obligation." A little of that courtesy would go a long way here too. I fear that too many people are getting used to the inconsistency, and they themselves will start turning up at this site only sporadically.
.....then again, I grew up reading Mad Magazine, so my brain is probably fried and I don't know what the heck I am talking about. -Dan

ah, don't moan. just check if there's one and be happy if there is. :-)) I'd like a daily game too, but hey, if there's none, there's none. ( well, am I good at stating the obvious today... :-)

Check back later, like 8 hours or so. If it arrives it'll be there.

I thought that the new policy for games was on weekends only. I seem to remember reading something like that, so I am not surprised that folks are asking about it. I am not complaining, as I hardly download any of the GGOTDs, just stating a fact. Maybe we should change their name to GGOTW.
I know what you are saying freebird, but sometimes people who are expecting something are disappointed when it does not arrive. I think that goodgotd is right, the only thing that we can do is wait and see.

Agreed, we should be told something beforehand, but I guess there are no games to put on the site today. Or maybe they are late. I think to do repeats the GA team would have to get the developer/author permission first. Too bad, I know there a lot of people who have lost games to computer problems.
In any case, you have to give the GA team credit for trying to get the best games to us. With all the moaning and groaning from some people about wanting high priced stuff that could never possibly be offered here, I am surprised they haven't stopped giving away games. Some people are so ungrateful -- and for free stuff?! Amazing.

I think if they would post a message saying there wouldn't be a game giveaway today, much of the "complaining" xome people are so concerned about wouldn't happen.
If there is no giveaway today, people can deal with that, and maybe look elsewhere for entertainment. Not knowing if you need to check every now and then could be annoying to some people.
Remember, information, especially ahead of time solves a lot of problems before they become problems.

It not even the game of the weekend anymore, I got the emial yesterday, went to the game giveaway site (by the way if you didnt know, they moved the games back to the game giveaway site this weekend) and want to DL the game only to find out that the giveaway was only for yesterday, whereas last week the game was available for the whole weekend. Guess I'll have to buy yesterdays game since my daughter saw it and thinks it would be cool to have :)

DragonsBane - You could download the trail version to see if your daughter likes it before you spend money on it. She would have 60 minutes of play to help her decide. Just a thought.
As for the game today, I would think that if there wasn't going to be one today, they would have posted something by now. My advice would be to check back later in the day.

I'm not complaining, love this site, but why does some get upset when people complain about games not being on days as advertised? This site is called game give'away'of'the'day' is it not? If its game giveaway once a week why not advertise it that way?

If you are talking about "Jane's Hotel". I own it already and is a very good, not to hard, time management game! Far more interesting than the "Dash" series!
I don't know if you belong to any game clubs, but you can get this one from Big Fish Games for $6.99(that's the game club price)! If your daughter and you both like games, Big Fish is the best one around for price!
Usually I find if the game doesn't come up in the first hour, there isn't going to be one! Disappointing, Yes! Life altering, No!Still is a Big Letdown! Software side is getting pretty monotonous too!

What I think the 'best' way to 'contribute' back to our lovely GOTD site and Teams is either
1)If you have extra 'bucks'.., contribute some :)
2)If you don't have extra 'bucks' to 'donate'... pray for their fortune and well being.
GOTD probably trying to solve their 'little crisis' before getting back to us. 'They' owe us nothing. So lets pray for this site to made a fortune 'overnight', so that it can continue its' 'santa' act. Thank you GOTD, you are most appreciated by us. God bless your fortune and may your bank account always full of 'bucks'. Amen. :P
