I like downloading your software but I have a protocol to follow. That protocol usually means checking the md5 of software to make sure it isn't corrupt and hasn't been tampered with (yes flamers, md5 breaks, I know, thanks) before I run the install.

I think it would be great if you would provide a secure way to obtain the md5 of whatever zip file you are offering for download on a specific day.

I notice you have https up and running but it's not perfect right now because of a certificate mismatch:
    ds-3747.freedownloadcenter.com

Once that's fixed maybe you could have a page with the md5 for the zip of software of the day.

Like this on your normal site:
Today's software is System Safety Monitor. Click here to download. The md5, also available on our secure website, is 76ee218bab00f9e4b1495f77f9f49664

All compressed files have checksums gimmie. If it is corrupt, it reports a CRC error. This isn't good enough?

Not for me. With this particular site I am looking to verify that the files I download are actually the files you are offering. If there is a way to 1. securely download the zip file or 2. make information available securely that can validate the zip file (like just a md5 on your https.. cheaper, I think) that would be great, and that's my suggestion. Thanks :)

Well I don't see the point. I've never been to a site yet that offers such security. Not even from Windows Updates. So what are you afraid of? That you are grabbing files from other than from the GAOTD site?
