Thought I would start this thread because no matter what the thread topic is we, The Over the Hill Gang seem to always hijack the thread.
I imagine our ever present Obi-Wan Kenobi, BuBBy sitting in front of his computor,(as he throws his arms up in frustration), and says to himself,"Well! They've done it again!! Hijacked another thread"!!!

Yes,PhotoBucket is the one I use, just started using it because it's easy. Not sure about the others you mentioned, maybe other members can give thier pros and cons about them, (Photo sites).
So to prove that I have the tools,

I must be getting old,in my youth I was always trying to get the gals to come to my place so I could show them my etchings,( He says....with a devilish smile...) and now I'm showing them pictures of my tools!!???

Wow! Your workshop is nicer (and cleaner) than my house! Those tools don't even look used. I wish my hubby had some organizational skills. I can never find anything once he gets a hold of it. I'd be embarrassed to show you his peg boards. :( I'll take some pictures of the inside of my Craftsman tool chest though. This is where I lock up the tools that he cannot touch! It's the only choice I have. :)

Thanks maizey and Robert As I've said before this is my home away from home,It might have something to do with being a Virgo, not that I believe in that much, but it seems it's said we are always very organized,or very anal about things.
My biggest pet peeve is not being able to find things, anyone is allowed to use the tools,as long as their put back in there place,if not!! You suffer "The Rath Of Khan"
Can't wait for the weather to break so I can spend more time in the garage, even though it's heated, the cost of natural gas was discouraging.
Especially now that I've set up my laptop on a wireless network.
It took awhile do get done, heated, cable TV,phone,my tools,my dive gear, and now a laptop, what more can a guy ask for.Geesshh!! Maybe I need to get a life.

  5. Scuba......hubby says he doesn't believe it, those pics were staged, no guy is that neat. Of course I'm sure he's jealous because his "workshop" has never looked like that and he's a neatnik.

Maizey......oh how well I relate.....I can have something for years and always know just where it is....he uses it once and I never see it again. I have my own toolbox in the laundry room. When he needs a tool he complains cause it's not in my toolbox, but guess who the last person was who used it? When he asks where something is I just say...well, where did you use it last.....sure enough that's where he finds it. UGH!

scuba, nice pics! Were you in the water sloshing around with all those sharks and rays? Weren't you frightened?

Robert's right about your photos. You are the only one who can alter them but anyone can link to or download them when your albums are public.

Thanks funky and maizey - pics. were taken at a depth around 50' to 80 ft.and yes I was right there with them,at times as close as 5ft. but it is not as dangerous as most would think.Sharks are really misunderstood due largely to Hollywood and it's movies. Also the news media tends to sensationalize when there is an incident.
They are truly a fascinating creature,I've spent many hrs. underwater studying and filming them with a friend who did it for research purposes.

    A few fun facts,

Largest existing now,is a Whale Shark as large as 45ft. in length, and so docile you could actually ride it's back, could literaly swallow me whole, and I'm 6ft.2",but it only feeds on micro-organisms.

Largest that ever existed, was called a Megalodon Shark, the Smithsonian Institution has the jaw of one with a volkswagon car inside it,just to demonstrate the size.Full size about that of a bus.But they existed over a million years ago.

PS-1: Do u think MisterB, being the Supreme Boss / Grand Poobah / Obi-Wan Kenobi that he is, would accept to officiate the ceremony?

LeKanaw, that's mighty forward of you! I was hoping that once I posted some pictures of my tool chest that scuba would pop the question to me. I was raised to believe that it is the man who is supposed to propose. It seems you have beaten me. Wah, wah, boo, hoo!

LeKanaw, my garage is not yet completed. It still needs a floor and the interior finished. Regardless of the outcome of our relationship, I should still want Scuba to be my interior designer. I would like to share some pictures of my water feature. IMHO, it far exceeds that dribble that Scuba calls a fountain. Mine attracts much wildlife, domestic animals and people. There are also unique and unusual items in the areas surrounding it. Take a look.

    Water feature and Garage

Note: I don't know how to get these photos in their proper order in Photobucket. It can be done easily in DivShare.

    Bonjour Maizey :D
This is not a dumping site - Bwaaahaaha! Just great! Inspired by Magritte, were we??
Well then... what do u know!!
Am I invited to play in the pond w the dog? I loved the one where he's jumping to get the fish. Oh yeah, that is a real *water feature*. Just thinking of SC's "fountain" I get one of those Mango Juice moments!
So much space - That really *is* great!! Geee, is this on a farm or "just" your back yard?
And did I really see 4 kids?? All yours? Wow!!
The garage is almost finished isn't it? That was the b4/after, right?
    Thanks for sharing, Mazey :D
    =*=*=*=*=*=*=*=
Now, lets negotiate my dear! I would be willing for the interior decorating part.
BUT, with which tools this endeavour would take place?? Me thinks you'r trying to pull a little trick, n'est-ce pas?? HeeeHeee

Lekanaw, the pond is fed by an underground spring and is always very cold..never above 65 degrees Fahrenheit. I'll dangle my feet in it on a hot day but would not get completely submerged. It's nice to cool off by laying in a neoprene raft too.

We have an annual fishing derby here for kids. Only one in the pictures is my stepdaughter. The others belong to friends and relatives. We will be having a derby on April 12th. This is the first day of fishing season the the state of Pennsylvania. We do this because adults on the fishing streams can be real nasty to youngsters and seniors. I've seen fishermen actually push and shove children out of their way because they wanted to fish in that spot. I've also seen an old man have some kind of attack and fall face first into the water. He could not get out! There were fishermen nearby who did not even attempt to help him. My husband and I were downstream and on the other side of the stream. We dropped everything and ran as fast as we could to pull him out. We then found the man's son and told him what had happened. He seemed unconcerned and told the old man to drive himself home. We just became sick of going out on the first day of the season and now stock the pond and sponsor the derby so the kids and their parents, grandparents and other friends can have an enjoyable day. There are usually about 50 or so people that come. It's gotten bigger every year. This year my stepdaughter and her friends are going to sell baked goods and pizza in one booth and her cousin is going to deal cards for 5 card stud and blackjack. They are planning to donate all the proceeds to a no-kill animal shelter for unwanted cats.

This is my yard. There are over 5 acres of property and most of it is forest. I wish I had more. I enjoy my privacy and the gentle, relaxing forest sounds. I don't want noisy neighbors. I say it's mine because I bought it myself before I met hubby.

Yes, that is before and after garage pictures. Hubby did almost all of the work himself. This is his first large-scale project. He's done a very good job!

    ---------------------
So, what is your offer? Can we strike a bargain? :D

Yes, you certainly can!! It would be my honour. Thank You for the offer! :D

    Hi Maizey
You speak of things I have NO Notion of. It puzzles me, but it's fun!!
Me learns nw stuff w u crazy ppl everyday. Me likey.
For me a "Derby" is something related to the Queen & horses. I must suppose this is not what u intended, since apparently "fish" not horses are involved!!
I never ever fished. Know nothing about it! :(

I know what u mean by unkind ppl. Hubby & I are always the ones doing things I believe is the least we can do and others looking at us like we are from another planet.
I don't get it. Doesn't cost anything to be kind, or give a little help, encourage someone. On the other hand I'm a bit radical: can't suffer fools!!! Drives me up the wall!! And I can smell manipulators from afar...

    =*=*=*=*=*=*=*=*=*=*=
Hummmm... You must be right about SC, could he be a Scaredy Cat??

A derby is a tournament. We give trophies for biggest and 2nd biggest fish and a booby prize for the smallest. All the kids get some kind of trinket/toy just for being here. We have food and drinks for everyone.
