  1. Maizeydaze,

My guess is that it is going to take some time before people who had content on Stage6 upload it all to Veoh. It is hard to say but I would imagine that some people have already done this. Anyway it is a great site and well worth the explore.

I just discovered this site. Haven't tried it because I'm about surfed out for the day and have to go assume the horizontal and exercise my constitutional. You need to download their viewer and set up an account but it seems to be free. http://www.themoviedownloads.com/

  3. Hey JoanRC,

I just checked out the site you mentioned. The player is free but you have to pay for the service.

I would love to hear any feedback or experiences about "themoviedownloads.com"

When I went to register with this site both McAfee and WOT (thanks Bubby) intercepted my registration with various warnings. You have to pay to register (I think US $35) but I have not read any positive comments about this site yet. I dont mind paying the money if it is a good service but when I have seen anti-phising scams, browser exploits, spam comments etc and nothing highlighting the benefits of subscription I get suspicious and nervous.

Any advice to the contrary would be welcome.

    I've been using http://www.buttermouth.com/top25.html

They rank the top 25 websites to watch free movies each month. I'm always able to find what I'm looking for with that list.

Didn't have time to read all of the responses so maybe this was already listed but I have a vision impairment and can ONLY watch movies, tv on my computer so I have done quite a bit of surfing to find the best sites. By far the best for me is http://www.ovguide.com/ since it has links to all of the online videos sites. It also has links to online game sites as well. All sites have ratings and reviews from other users although I have not found that to be helpful since I am probably older than most users and am looking for different types of videos. But it also has a search engine on the top where you can enter a specific movie or show and will give you links to it if it is available. BTW---most links work better with firefox. There are a few that will only work with firefox but not that many.

Sounds like I am in great company then.

    Should also mention www.graboid.com

A great way to legally download movies and television shows or stream if you would rather. The software is very easy to use and you can download up to 4000 gb's of content every month for free. There is a wonderful support team there as well if you have problems with the program and they are very quick to respond. Graboid is also one of the best discoveries I have made on the internet as far as movies/tv goes.

Thanks heidihopes I'll try it. As an European a lot of the links are not "allowed" to me, but OTOH here are so many links to choose among, that I have enough and enough to look at. :)

I must agree with hedihopes on www.graboid.com

This came up quite by accident through checking out the various links above and I was so impressed that I subscribed. At only $15 US a month, this is a small fee to access my favourite shows in the one website/manager. The quality is really good and because you can download the programs/movies to your hard drive, there is less chance of interference with streaming.

Graylox I have had the same problems in not being able to access a lot of sites (for being Aussie) but there are quite a few sites which will allow you (such as funkymoms link for www.watchtvsitcoms.com) and www.NinjaVideo.net [provided by someone else). If I recall you were interested in watching House MD and these are available to some extent there.

Hi robm I'm just setting up my new computer and am looking forward to see House MD and other shows in the original version. My old system was too "understaffed".

  13. Just be aware everyone, that Graboid is just a wrapper program for Newsgroup access. So while you may subscribe for $15 a month, if the retention on the server they run is bad, you still will miss out on certain items that you want to get. Just making sure everyone is aware of this.

For 4GB a month for free, it's a great way to see if you like it. I already use Newsgroups for most of my TV and Movies etc, so I don't need Graboid. But for those of you out in the sticks, or who cannot access Newsgroups for whatever reason, here's your shot!

    Question for you lordloc:

I have tried using the Newsgroups but just found the learning curve too high especially with my vision impairment. Is there any newsgroup service that is simple enough that you don't have to take tutorials and feed through 1000's of newsservers to find what you want? I've tried a few and keep running into that. Thanks in advance for your opinion.

    Hi LordLoc
    Welcome to the Forum
Thank you for the info. Although I must admit didn't understand everything.
Could u add a link to Newsgroup - Results for GG Search sent me nowhere.

    Thank you, Manu

  16. heidihopes: There are sites dedicated to Newsgroup searching where you can locate things you want very easily. As for actually using Newsgroups, it is very easy to do. You just need a program to browse them and download/decode the individual files from the server(s). Newsleecher is a very easy to use program, so is Grabit. But you need to subscribe to a dedicated Newsgroup provider before you can do anything. Graboid here just gives you a faily easy to use shell to browse and look for films, TV, etc from their own Newsgroup servers (I assume there own, who knows who they are run by though).

LeKanaw, if you want information on Newsgroups and how to use them effectively - you'll need to look around at a few sites.

    http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Newsgroup

Another very in depth article you can read is here: http://www.slyck.com/ng.php

If you guys want more help, just ask. I do use newsgroups regulary with a dedicated program and subscription to a provider. It pays for itself after a day :) (I'm not kidding either)

  19. Actually funkymom, I've been a long time user of this awesome site. I just normally post comments on the giveaways. But I figured as a game journalist I could come on in and help out in these types of discussions :) (And I love movies and TV so it works out good!)

But thank you for the welcome either way, heh.
