IGNORE THIS I AM JUST CHECKING HTML LINKS.

    Man,

If moderators are checking here, could you please remove the two comments I posted about where to find PC versions of Amiga pinball games.

It looks like we don't have a test forum anymore and this is the closest thing to it.
I tried to post a comment on the Game of the day that contains html code and have failed twice I caught the errors on the first one but as far as I can tell the second one was ok. Let's see

    does this work at all?

God, I finally got it. For a while I thought Html was laughing at me.

    I like that!

Gotta make sure that I remember it for my friends. We are all geeks, so there will be laughter.
I know some civilians too and they will never get it, I tried it before and all I get is blank stares. What Is this world coming to!

Well, it looks like some people already know....

good idea- i've been looking for a place to test this out myself.

how do you do that.....use a "word" to show instead of the link?

funkymom - Bubby addressed this in his Markups explained thread. Follow his link for more info on how to use anchors to make links appear as a word or group of words. That's how I learned a couple of weeks ago.

I see you already found it. :)

funkymom - OK!! Smarty pants, I'll explaine what I'm doing.I'm trying to figure out which addy.to use from Photobucket to make a link that works here in the posts, when I try, it just shows up as something you would have to copy and paste,or it's the edit page of photobucket. Can't seem to get the right one.I have to delete the post because the link I'm trying to post is a "What is it" pic.and so if it's left up you can still see the addy. to the site, and the pic.

o.k. for problem #1- in the link above although you can see the addy, i don't think it helps since i've marked the album private. i copied direct link.

for problem #2 which might solve problem #1 as well:

That's why you would see blank posts by me,just when I'd think it would work it would'nt.I could use some other meaningless photo but then people are going to think I've lost it with some useless photo and no explanation. Someone's going to book me a room in the HA! HA! HOTEL for sure!!!

Man, that is pretty impressive. I used to grow flowers in Tucson, AZ in the middle of the summer and I thought my green thumb was glowing (you had to be there). Your picture put me in my place!

Thanks pauloparra,It took a few summers to get right, the rock garden/fountain was the easy part,it was learning to work with perennials. You know which size, what kind,invasive,non-invasive,how close to each other etc....

Your welcs. I was doing my garden as part of a self imposed therapy. It is amazing how relaxing it can be to get home at 6 pm and just water your flowers. Now I wish I had taken a picture, but that was, oh, about 15 years ago.

I know what you mean, since I semi retired at the start of last summer there were day's that I would start on the garden at 6:am and stop at 6:pm.You can't see the other garden in that pic thats twice as large as the one in the 1st pic.

I though I had a black one too, I couldn't even get the avocado center to spring roots, but after I realized how relaxing it was, well, I guess I put my heart into it. Now I don't know. I can hardly take care of myself, so I have no pets, no plants or nothing that would die for lack of attention. My thumb must be..., whats darker than black?

    how about invisible?

i know what you mean, i've been having a hard time with the self maintenance. but, i have a 3year old, so all my energy goes into taking care of her.

Black is not a color and neither is invisible, but black sucks all light while invisible lets it all pass. I think an invisible hole is better than a black one, unless of course you happen to walk straight into one :)
gotta go for a while. BRB.
