what sites do you admin for?
(if you are allowed to say.....if not maybe you can do one of your famous "contact admin"'s and find a way to contact me ;D )
I decided to buy the Anvir Suite from the other days giveaway as I'd been really impressed with the utility. I lost the shortcut so went into the folder to create another and saw this:

Okay it's not super funny, but still it was strange to see a file called by such a name though reading the full title that really is the abbreviated form. Probably a male who named it, lol
ooh.....we were typing at the same time!
:D
Wouldn't it be great if someone would install the bbPress plugin:

Uuuh, dude, you must not be up on the history of the 'net, but *broadband* is the new kid on the block, by a significant percentage of the time the Internet (post-DARPA) has been up.
Having started at 1200 baud and worked up the hard way, I'll spot you 2 falls and still pin your ears back on that point.
spring is just around the corner

bummer, the hour's up- 1200 on the *internet*; I trained on teletypes. 100 baud, and 300 baud acoustical couplers.
LOL - every cat has a look of bloody vengeance in its eyes. (The blue eyes - that's another case entirely). LOL
I know. The Brown cat looks like a ticked-off little old man and the tiny one on the sink looks like Yoda. :D
Oh maizey, I'll never speak again with you - how dare you !
If we would have tried this with our cats, we wouldn't have survived. The younger one had some baths, as she always wanted to be where I was, she jumped accidentally into the water filled bathtub.
dc (Damn Cute) really dug it when he was a kitten, and the towel-dry even more- take a look: http://img340.imageshack.us/my.php?image=dcafterbathenjoyinghimsla0.jpg
goody - as a child I had such a red one; his name was Fritz; he found us one day, as he was still very young, stayed for some month, disappeared, came back for some month ... I think, he had two homes
Sisters Mary Catherine, Maria Theresa, Katherine Marie, Rose Frances & Mary Kathleen left the Convent on a trip to St. Patrick's Cathedral in New York City and were sight-seeing on a Tuesday in July.
It was hot and humid in town and their traditional garb was making them so uncomfortable, they decided to stop in at Patty McGuire's Pub for a cold soft drink.
Patty had recently added special legs to her barstools, which were the talk of the fashionable east side neighborhood. All 5 Nuns sat up at the bar and were enjoying their Cokes when Monsignor Riley and Father McGinty entered the bar through the front door.
They, too, came for a cold drink when they were shocked and almost fainted at what they saw.
Not an image but a video: Cat Wake Up Call
great posts maizey!
i had forgotten about the cat wake up, thanks.
this isn't funny, but it is amazing:
p.s. this is my first slide show.
funky your slide show is perfect !
The story is way too good to be true or are there miracles in this world ?
Let's hope.
maizey every cat-lover knows this wake up call
The Fritz-cover is great, know the Crumb cartoon but don't have that album and not this great cover picture
Thanks
i don't know the original source, it was forwarded to me via e-mail.
i included all the info in the slide show, i don't want to take someone else's credit......even if i can't actually give credit where it's due.
It is such a perfect, positive story, everyone is needing sometimes. Or not ?
definitely.
:D
funky - You did a great job with the slide show! I received an email with those pics and the story awhile ago but it's so much nicer the way you presented it. Thanks. :)

Bobby - The funny truck picture was taken from website coverage of a 2005 Rhino Rolling Advertising Award competition in Germany. They are actually digital mock ups created for the competition. Winners are them implemented for real. The trucks are not painted but ads are printed onto interchangeable canvas covers. Browse around the Rhino site and see the winners and all entries from 2005 & 2006 too. Very cool.

Those "dressed up" trucks are sensational -
but I can't say the same about those dressed up pets.
graylox - So you have a "thing" for trucks? Oh, my! It must be a trend in Germany. :)
Never saw those trucks in the wild. I think the autobahn would have a full stop immediately.
Maizey .. that's wonderful! Thank you for setting me straight on those trucks. I will send a note to the referring website so they can make corrections, also. You know, that image of the truck hauling oranges would be a real attention getter, should one encounter it while half-awake on a Monday morning commute. And the 'elephant' is hilarious!
Can I make up for the boo-boo with some jaw-dropping images of Japan's 'Dekotora' ? I reckon these works of art would also bring the autobahn to a full stop!

Bobby It's okay, I think I'm tonight on the "say immediately everything what you think" trip. Sorry.
The pink tentacle site is great. Those trucks should really be a sensation on the streets in Germany - unthinkable.
