........I am sure i can speak for the three of us, and all the other members in the forum, in particular to Threads and keeping to the rule," or to toe the line " we have ended "so far" with members who do not shout, do not insult,do not take offence, and all have a joke at the others expense, " without being offended " its a rare thing, and its nice, and not forgetting to mention the fact BuBBy keeps a close eye on "things" also good,no maizey your are not being fussy, i am sure we all will give a show "of hands"

  2. <---raises "unjarred" hand in agreement. It's hard following too many different guessing games in one thread, opening new ones is a good idea.

OK.. let me clear the air on the 'what kind of tree is it' so I can get things back in kilter and stick with the right threads. The tree is known as a Grandfather Greybeard, or Fringe Tree, with the lilac bush behind it: http://i250.photobucket.com/albums/gg264/copmom_photo/P5150048.jpg

copmom........Sorry but i am sitting here laughing!......its nothing to do with your tree, which is lovely and the contrast with the lilac makes it better, no its the, OK let me clear the air bit? we all went astray and the close similarity between threads was hard to distinguish one from the other, i suppose we will have to wait for the other posters to have a word before proceeding with "what is it" i just had to check now, to see what thread i was in?

  10. Maizey & Paulga.....are those supposed to "say" something? All I hear is bubbles for the fish and chirping for the birds.

LOL....it does sound like FLASH, even thought it is supposed to be flush. Either way, I can understand the fish saying, "Help Me".

Since you pointed that out, I must tell you a funny story. I used to own a trading card shop, and one day this girl representing a radio station walked into my shop and asked if I would like to advertise on her station. I thought it would be a good idea. I told her I would write a commercial. She hesitated, then said that I should really leave it up to professionals like her. I told her to come back in an hour and I would have a commercial ready, and if she didn't like it, she could write them ALL for me. Well, about 50 minutes later, after a sudden influx of customers, I suddenly realized that this girl would be back soon, and I hadn't even thought about the commercial. I grabbed a pen and paper and wrote out a 60-second commercial.

When she returned, I handed her the paper, she read it and laughed (humor, of course!), and told me the commercial was perfect.

Two days later she returned with a tape of my commercial, and "Miss Professional" was the one narrating the ad. Near the end, she was supposed to mention some brands of trading cards....."Topps, Fleer, Donruss and Upper Deck". When she said "Upper Deck", you would SWEAR she said "Deck" with an "i" instead of an "e".

I approved it, because I wanted to see how many of my customers would come in and mention it. Many of them came in just to talk about it, and bought something as well, so it actually helped. Nonetheless, I told her the next time that I wanted a guy to read my commercials because a buyer of sports cards would probably listen to a man more than to a woman. She bought that, and left. She never did another one of my commercials, and I never had the heart to tell her why.

too funny, and we're off on another tangent. perhaps someone should start a 'talking animal' thread.

btw- i agree that things have gotten a little confusing. that's how i ended up 'cutting in line' a few days ago.

Bk, sorry about your luck (or hearing).

Paulga, it is a funny find, isn't it?

Dan, good story. But, if she brought in so much business, why didn't you want to keep her?

Maizey....Because I'd really be in trouble if I had ever wanted to have her make a commercial with a word like "shot", "fax", can't" or "cake".

It looks like that thick striping that they paint in the street for crosswalks, etc.

Hey! Anyone that wants to continue turning a game forum into a mish-mash of conversation, why not go over to the "I don't care what it is" forum. After what I've seen on it the last couple of days, I have pretty much given up on it anyway.....
