Yes, it's a hand carding comb (the way I learned it at girl scout meetings,) made for carding cotton. yes,the bristle design lives on in pet brushes.

btw, PanoTools is a better hammer for correcting for lens distortion and a lot more-just a brief time with it (and 1.3 degrees ccw rotation) I could turn this into this. and do it in batches.

! [just to hold a place for pix]

got the handle on my vine assassinater replaced, and while surveying the extent of reclaimed yard I found these winsome blossoms taking advantage of the lack of roofing despite the rough neighborhood.

no, actually. it's at the other end of the scale.

let's back off a bit. laying flat it's ~1/4" x ~3-1/2" x ~1-1/4". small hand tool related to grooming and clothes. mostly plastic.

    yep, it's a d.fuzz.it.

here's a composition based around the newly-rehandled blade, some
leaves turning color and a couple of prune plums.

Our leaves are starting to change colors here too. They say this should be a good 'color' year because of the dry drought conditions we've had.

here's another snip. this is part if an assembly that's 10 feet tall when in service.

  15. If it wasn't for the red paint and now the bolts, it appeared to be the hole for a breather in the old Fords for the oil. LOL You gt me goodgotd

let's widen the view a bit. this part you rarely see except when being installed- though there are lots of them around.

fwiw that's me ivy and the right fork up the hill is mine. I took this picture from very close to where google maps says my house is. call it a 35 meter diagonal offset.

Well I finally got another one! Ta daaaaa! You sure get some great close up panorama shots with your camera! But where's the roses? All I see are leaves? LOL

them's all rose leaves. rosa muliflora makes a nice hillside cover. (there's about a bazillion hips hidden in there)

you should be able to get shots just like that- I'm getting better at holding the camera steady.

both of those last were cropped for effect, to get the best looking parts to shine.
