but if you type it in an entry box using firefox 2, it wants to add the " ' "!

[Buckleysmom: fuzzy logic is blurring the lines. a misspelling gets the answer, thus teaching shoddy logic imho personal only section]

the item is 4 and a quarter inches long and is just over 2 wide though most is less than an inch and a half. kitchen-type thing 'as seen on TV'.

    a long time ago.

the view is across the long axis; there is more above and below the sample.

    Is it a veggie peeler?

nope. one leetle (<1/4")bit of iron at one end, structural nylon in between with a poly screw cap on the other.

    no relation to a broadsword.

Only thing that comes to mind 'as seen on TV' a long time ago is Lucille Ball selling Vena Vita Vegamin!!

That last angle has something that looks like a weight with a piece of wire attached to it. No idea!

The tip makes me think of those tools to break a car window in case of emergency, but the open weave makes me question that.

Come on, Goody, give us a little hint. :?

if it wasn't for the seatbelt cutter built into those escape tools, I'd suggest an automatic center punch for crackin' glass- it needs less room to bust a car window.

site just let me log back in.

I'm trying to think of a fruit that needs an armor piercing tip to juice. nope. coming up blank.

not a juicer though juice is one of the things one might use it for.

LOL. You caught me grasping at straws, Goody. I figured if the darn thing was "as seen on tv" it was perhaps an overkill for a common process. I'm having trouble getting past the structural sections of this gizmo--let alone the armor-piercing component. I guess I'll just go on to the important matter of why is it white. Oh great....now I'm doing that stream-of-conciousness thing again. I hate it when I do that. :D

white nylon body, red screw-on cap on the far end- ponder this- where do you find fruit juice in armor?

  27. Goody.....is it a coconut milker?

no, coconuts are just protected, not armored. include veggie juices in the pondering, sorry.

as I explained to a friend, this would be really bad to try and milk a coconut with.

    A can opener?

close enough to fall inside the fuzzy target ring.

it's a reusable, resealable self-installing can spout that came as a set with a smaller, no-steel-tip easy-pour spout for half-gallon or smaller cardboard milk containers.

here's a different view, and shots of it installed from inside and outside a can.

for a change, rather than flowers-planted-to-look-at, here's some flowers-on-food-plants- first the blossom ball of an Elephant Garlic (these set atop a stem 4-6 feet tall, and are generally 3-5 inches across), and an artichoke left to bloom from the side and from the top- which is surprisingly similar to a bull thistle blooming.
