(exp Feb 29) Play a game to score Free Aimersoft software.

(124 posts)

  1. Do you know what the secret gift is? Join this game and prove you are a genius to get it. It's more than a surprise. This is a geometrical game; you just need to drag the dots to untangle the crossed lines, it’s easy to play but difficult to master.

It has 20 levels, when you pass the first ten levels, you can get a free Aimersoft Audio Converter.
If you win the whole game, congratulations, you can choose any product of Aimersoft you want.

For game links - and how to claim your prize, visit http://www.aimersoft.com/special-offers.html

Remember - the offer finishes February 29.
    - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -

Last night I completed the 20 levels in around 3 hours (give or take) - this morning I had my registration keys for Aimersoft DVD Studio Pack

As you complete each milestone (either level 10 or level 20) you will want to take screenshots to send with your prize claim. I sent 2 screenshots - one before the "final" move and one showing the "You win" screen, to show I had "what it takes".

You're good, BubbyCo. I'm at the 2 hour mark after your post, and have 4 empty circles remaining to complete. This was a very entertaining spatial challenge TIME SUCK. Trouble is, I'm dead tired and gotta crash. Have saved a couple screen shots (11 and 16 if my squinting eyes are working) Will probably lose the cookie or however they're tracking progress when I shut down. sigh Ain't no way I'm gonna start from scratch.

Yeah - Thanks BuBBy - Great little time waster!
I'm over half way through it and need a break - Is there any way to save progtess or will that really be wasted time?
    I'm "hanging by a thread..."

  4. No I left if for 20 minutes for a sanity break (I was seeing spots before my eyes).

Just leave it open, surf on another tab if you need to - remember you just need those screenshots.

  5. RM - I worked out a system around level 12 or 13 that made the approach to solve each level a bit more structured.

    Hint (in reverse):

I don't need no steeenking cheats! This plays to my strength at solving mazes inside my fat head. I just unfold the thing cerebrally, like an elegant origami. Can't explain how, but there's a nice feeling between my ears when I "see" the solution. My spatial and verbal aptitude scores were always high. Math is my Achilles heel. Two circles to go.

  7. It's no cheat - it is an observation I made while playing - more of a strategy. Puzzles are always easier when you know the rules and approach in a structured manner.... Or you can drag dots around at random and hope that if you do it for long enough, the puzzle will solve itself. If you are on level 20 - I would expect you have already made this discovery.

Don't you just hate it? The whole puzzle solved except for one line cutting through the middle?

I apologize. Didn't read what you wrote cause it appeared you were dropping hints. FWIW, I don't do the random drop/drag (methinks would be a near statistical impossibility with so many freaking connections), and any structure is intuited without a conscious act. I see 3-D pattens and flip or turn multiple dots to fold/unfold.

Hey, I've dozed off twice. Got 1 circle left but can't finish now. Will try saving the cookie but am doubtful that'll work. G'nite, Bubbyco.

  9. I don't think cookies are the point - I'd even risk just leaving it open overnight - and picking it up tomorrow morning when the eyes are fresh.

Okay, yet another doze in front of the computer. Nice, but a 3-hour catnap ain't gonna cut it. Forgot to tell you something, Bubby... that last game layout is real EVIL (if you get my drift). FWIW, I never leave an unattended computer ON, especially when I don't know if it'll be for 5 or 16 hours. I'll keep my fingers crossed that the cookie is the key.

Thank you, Bubby! Two and a half hours later, I'm on the 19th (the smiley faced knot) level. I've got things to do, places to go and people to see and I'm sitting here playing this game. Think I'll let it be for awhile and get other things done. When I get back I'm going to win the big prize!

A majort time consumer.. But worth it I hope. I completed level 20 and got screenshots. Now I've sent them a mail, we'll see how long it takes for them to reply.

The game was more time consuming than hard actually. Once you find the "frame", or the dots surrounding the others it's just to work your way in...

Thanks a lot for the tip Bubby! =)

Wohoo! Got the lisence in 5 minutes! :D

    Posted 6 months ago #
  18. Actually you got the license in 5 minutes PLUS the time it required to solve the puzzles. ;)

    Congratulations to you both?

    Anymore contestants "getting close"?

I did it! Level 19 drove me insane (took 45 minutes), level 20 wasn't "evil" at all. Too bad I don't like Aimersoft but it was fun. Any idea how the game "remembers" where you left? I closed the game several times, deleted cookies and temp files and was still able to pick up where I had left.

Nh, after reaching EVIL, I had to crash. I mentioned "saving the cookie" but I really meant saving the $#%&! freaking Flash Shared Objects file. I was so tired, I forgot to do that (grrrrrr) and CCleaner wiped it off my drive. I contacted the developer (nice fellow, prompt response) who commiserated with my plight but claimed he hadn't installed a workaround. Chris said he was planning to add a function to future versions that saves game progress to a player's registered account on Nonoba.com. (the flash site) Heave big sigh... move on... must resist typical reaction to computer-related stress.

Hey, man, that's why they made those silicone rubber keyboards.

put 3 layers of mousepad underneath, it's fairly comfy. and if you knock yourself out, it's immune to drool, too.

(gotta placate my doc, doesn't want me to bust up the double-level fusion in my neck for at least a couple more years.. I refuse to give up shooting, (though I have almost stopped big-bore long guns and changed from .40 s&w to 9mm..) but if I get her to sign off on things like cushioned keyboards the insurance reimburses me for it.)

I'm working on the smiley-face (the author is *sadistic*, isn't he?) with 2 circles to fill, but I've been slowed since level 12 by frequent long comas from upping my antidepressant by 20% yesterday. <sigh> at least it's good at waiting...

goodgotd-I've been working on the smiley-face off and on since yesterday. I hate it! Started over several times now and I have no excuses for not working it out yet. No drugs...unless I'm having flashbacks from the 70's! Ha, ha!:)

RM-Love the toon. Exactly how I feel about level 19 in this game.

Smiley was a walk in the park. EVIL has 52 dots, Smiley only had 40.

  24. As you find out - around level 17 or 18 this puzzle ceases to be about the aimersoft licenses (which in reality are just a reward for your persistence) - after spending several hours trying to nut it out, the real motivation is just to not let the rotten puzzle get the better of you. With me it became an obsession to complete. Trust me though, once you finish level 20 - you will have no interest in trying to play it again... but maybe in a week or two.... noooooooooooooooooo :)

I suspect his next version is required to include that SAVE function because of the US Consumer Products Safety Commission Rule #3921784.690.w/Fb4~3
No software shall cause people to go blind and/or starve to death.

ain't the number of dots, it's retaining grasp of the mental 'map' on breaks. the smiley was a *nasty* taunt, keeps breaking my concentration.

And not in my case, BuBBy- although as I said, motivation would be higher for another software item. I'm in it for an addition to my toolbox for tackling tough video I have to work with.

If I wasn't so close, I'd sic the wife on it- she *likes* this stuff.

I'm still tempted to dump it on her to see how loudly profane she gets.

I'm confused on how to play it. I see the dots but there are no lines and I can more the dots. I have flash player 9

You take a break DURING one of the levels? That's risky. My memory is so short, I'd misplace the map before I made it to the little boy's room and back! The ladies of the night are already aware that guys refuse to stop and ask for directions... so, I dare not lose my map. :-)

Xbox - the entry screen leads to a couple of demos as I recall. If you can't move the dots there, you may need a new build of Flash, Java, Shockwave or, oh jeez, whatever else the game developers are fiddling with these days. Links are on the page, I think.

have to break, when my eyes cross as the meds roll in or I gotta offload coffee or brew more.

(I use caffeine in place of the harsher stuff the doc can prescribe- my coffee cup holds a liter, and I drink 4 a day.)

blown memory means at times I glance away and wonder where I was.

It's been on that game, breaks and all, since shortly after my first comment up there. I don't believe in turning computers *off*. just ask BuBBy about drive hours.

    Posted 6 months ago #
  30. xbox - you must have the "easy version" - all dots, no lines - sounds like you already have it solved (no overlapping lines) :P
