  6. Ashampoo clip finder I enjoyed, I also like videoget which was given away here.

I have the latest version of clip finder v1.34, it stopped working since version 1.3.

    Anyone else find this also?

  7. That's weird, after posting my links I now tried them again - and spalndoo as well as Ashampoo v.1.20 + 1.33 do not work.
Perhaps the great "pirate - hunters " did succeed at last ???

Funny, I have Real Player, and everytime I visit a page with videos...ie Utube, Big Fish games and my local online newspaper, it pops up and asks if I want to download the video.
I have Real Player V11 on my Laptop.

My Desktop still has V10, as I refuse to pay for another license to burn my old Albums to CD. One time fee my butt, until they upgrade the player.

So if you have Real Player, and haven't used it in a bit, let it upgrade to V11, I find it comes pre-installed on most machines.

Weird, I dont have Realplayer (i got Vista, i purchased it from Microsoft, deleted XP that came with the system)

I will try the links in a little bit.

Are there any that dont save it as .f something? Perferably a .mpg or something.

Thanks everyone for replying with helpful things

  10. Well graylox I have submitted a ticket to ashampoo and maybe they can shed light on why it don't work.

I get the gui displayed and nothing else, it hangs and hangs and the three fingered salute is needed to close it.

  12. Lee, after a new online update to 1.34 and a new firewall setting, everything is o.k.
The Ashampoo site was very slow for some time, perhaps they have changed something, and that broke down the downloads.

You can get Real Player Basic for Free at: Real Player Free Download!

Tried to insert the link, but it wouldn't take!

This is the one on my Laptop, that's bringing up the Videos.

i dont know, if you rather prefer to install software on your computer, or use online applications, so i am giving you both (I am using the desktop application, but i have tried also the online ones, and all works)

online converters, that can convert youtube vids to avi or mpeg or just extract the song:
    http://www.youconvertit.com/OnlineVideo.aspx
    http://www.media-convert.com/
    http://www.zamzar.com/

freeware (you need to scroll down to the bottom to find the freeware version)
    http://www.any-dvd-converter.com/products/for_video_free/
    http://www.any-dvd-converter.com/download/
they have an extra button for youtube vids.

its fast, and does the conversion perfectly.

I would suggest Fee Download Manager:
    http://www.freedownloadmanager.org/

It downloads Youtube videos, and you can choose to convert them automatically if you wish. Besides it's the best download manager I've ever come across!

  18. I recommend Orbit - free.
Used this for a while - works well and saves them into your choice of formats - I don't like .flv either.

Videoget [previously acquired from GAOD]is my choice now but Orbit is good too.
