Does this mean we should go to the folder we initially installed MagicFarm to and delete the entire MagicFarm folder . . . then simply re-install to same (or where ever one wishes to install )?
I'm not sure what "Games folder" means to you, but to me (and others, I presume) the "Games" folder might hold ALL the games installed on a system, so that reads a bit confusing.
If I screw this re-install up, my newly addicted MagicFarm wife might die unfulfilled.Posted 9 months ago # -

i dragged the folder containing all the old magic farm game files over to the rubbish bin.
then i installed the updated version, no problems.hope that helps.

I simply selected "run" when I DLd the fix and voila! Magic Farm is once again running for me. I didn't delete any files from my original installation

Yeah, Funkymom hit the nail on the head. And a very big thank you to Oleg for taking the trouble to sort a fix out so soon. i bet you were franticaly working through the script over the weekend. This has the makings of an awesome game.
Do you have any plans to add some mini games between levels and add some incentives such as medals for accomplishing certain things. i personally always find that such additions really enhances a game. Not ony does it break the game up into more maneagable segments, it just makes you feel like you've got a damn good bargain. (Okay we have anyway as we got it free; but I'd certainly consider buying an updated version with the features I've mentioned.

Hey Sukibabe, I did an entomology module in my final year as an undergraduate, lol. I love bugs, especially bugs that have irridecent carapaces such as beetles :)

Hi everyone,
i like this game very much. i also have problems with the pirate.
i read through all the post and i will get my intire magic farm folder to the bin and download the fixed game.
i hope than its working fine and the pc don't crashes again on the bugs.

That was funny, lol.
With respect to the game, I was wondering whether it would be possible to add an option for extending the day. It seemed that the days ended really quickly; though that could have been because I was so engrossed in harvesting flowers watering plantys and killing pests. But it would be nice to be able to adjust this, either by a slider, or in increments. It's just a suggestion though.
To Sukibabe, follow the link below to find the file I said you could have. I've totally removed it from my computers so once i delete it from filefront i'll have no access to it as i give it to you. Please let me know when you've got it as I should delete it as soon as you get the file. It's at the top of the page.

Whiterabbit - perhaps day extensions could be offered as a special bonus, or maybe with a change in difficulty level. personally, I'm satisfied with the length of the day (I've been saved from pest bombardment by a speedy day's end more than once!). longer days might also require the purchase of upgrades to water and flower capacity at a faster rate.

Crazyritten, don't forget NOT to use the uninstaller. I nearly did when I went to delete the old games folder; just out of habit I suppose. Thankfully I stopped myself. :)

That's a good idea Jucati. Though with the extended day, I didn't mean a permanent extension, but the ability to adjust it from the preferences/options menu to suite individual players.
I too have been saved from 'massive' attacks of snails and wasps by the day ending.
Maybe a warning like the light levels reducing, as I find I haven' the time to watch the clock in the top right of the screen. I've lost lots of flowers as a result of the day ending. it just seems so abrupt. I know it seems a bit pernickety; I don't mean to be; I was just trying to make some suggestions for future updates.
I've spent an enjoyable hour or so playing the game earlier. It just struck me that the suggestions I’ve made (including the light changing towards the end of the day and the addition of mini games etc) would make an excellent game even better. Despite Alice Greenfingers having mini games included, I do much prefer this game.
Thank you so much Oleg for giving the game giveaway community this excellent game.

I must admit: I'm also an addict! The simple idea of "Magic Farm", combining a little bit of strategy game with a rather simple mouse-shooter game works for me!
However, I surely hope that Monday's version wasn't the last one because there are still some flaws in this game, e.g.:
The captain asks for 5,000 coins, but actually demands 10,000 again
The new pop-up reminding you of "Low Water" is annoying!Oleg, are you in the mood for some suggestions?
- Level 1 you have to pay 800 coins to get to the port town. But then you can freely jump between both cities back and forth. Introducing a new character, for example an old coachman, would be better. He could demand 200 coins for each journey. Same in level 4: you can go back to the Cannibal's island free of charge, but you can't go back to the port town (which makes sense, since the ship wrecked - wouldn't it be nice to add some still pictures showing that? When moving from level 2 to 3 how the ship sinks?)
- The vegetation should "respond" more to the different weather situations, e.g. less fruits on rainy days, less demand for additional watering, but with more bugs.
- Trading fully-grown flowers should be more lucrativeJust started a new game - can't wait until I reach the improved levels!

This is great idea, but it already implemented =)
It's about 10%-15% changes depends on weather>Trading fully-grown flowers should be more lucrative
